Rihanna innocently posted the photo you see to her instagram page during her recent trip to Thailand, and now folks might be going to jail. Bad Gyal Ri Ri stopped in Phuket where she got a hold of a slow loris, a primate that is native to Southeast Asia and listed as a protected species.
AP says that Thai authorities were alerted to the photo and launched an investigation that led to a 20-year-old man and a 16-year old boy. Two lorises were confiscated from the pair who could also face charges of possession of protected animals. The charge carries a punishment of up to four years in jail and a 40,000 baht ($1,300) fine.
Authorities in Thailand have been working for years to crack down on vendors exploiting wildlife in popular tourist areas. So, if you're headed to Thailand any time soon, you might want to think twice about taking photos with the animals. Just go to the zoo instead.
