(AllHipHop Rumors) Since being released from jail earlier this year, Kevin Gates has been regaining his prominence. Gates was incarcerated in 2016 after kicking a woman at a concert.
He was only sentenced to serve 6 months of jail, but a warrant in Illinois would cause the rapper to serve another term at a different facility.
Ultimately, Gates would be away from the entertainment for close to 2 years before being released in January. Kevin would go on to release an EP “Chained To The City” and album “Luca Brasi 3” after regaining his freedom.
Things have been on the rise for the rapper as he once again started touring. However, recent actions made by Gates have rubbed fellow Louisiana rappers the wrong way.
Kevin Gates would post an album by Fredo Bang to his Instagram page, but the problem is Gates was cool with Rapper Youngboy Never Broke Again, who has been feuding with Fredo Bang.
This rubbed Youngboy and his camp the wrong way and they’ve been calling out Gates for switching up on the rapper.
Kevin Gates would then come out to clarify that he only wants Louisiana rappers to get along and work together the same way Atlanta rappers do.
This further caused tension as rappers addressed their issues being too real to simply drop. One of the rappers these actions rubbed the wrong way was Quando Rondo, who was recently featured on a new record by Youngboy Never Broke Again featuring Kevin Gates.
Rondo would take the stage at a recent show and state “I don’t f##k with that p##sy a** n##ga Kevin Gates” to the crowd in attendance.
Things are definitely heating up between Louisiana artists. Let’s hope that they all can find mutual ground to move forward with success in their careers.
