(AllHipHop Rumors) Tory Lanez is one of the leaders of urban music's new cool.
The musician is multifaceted and does multiple things. Not only is Lanez a rapper, but also a singer, songwriter, producer, and videographer all in one.
Lanez has worked with some of Hip-Hop's best artists. Tory, not one to be overshadowed has also scored his own smash records. Most notably "Luv," a single from "I Told You," his 2016 debut album.
Lanez definitely knows a thing or two about music as the single was nominated for a Best R&B Song Grammy award in February 2017.
Recently Lanez received criticism for comparing Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine to Tupac Shakur.
"It's really sad to see somebody at that platform...it kinda reminds me of, like, Bobby Shmurda, but Bobby Shmurda didn't even get to go as far. For somebody to go that far, you got Kanye, Nicki Minaj, your album's dropping. It's like, the only ni##a who had s##t like that popping was Tupac. When Tupac was in jail he dropped the biggest album. Not to say it was the biggest album of all f##king time, but it was a pretty big moment. It's sad he's gotta be locked up during it, is all I'm saying.," Tory told Tim Westwood in a December 3, 2018 interview.
Tory Lanez was on recently clarified the comments.
"I brought him out in L.A. I brought him out in different places. When he would go on stage its like yo they reacting to this n##ga like in a different type of way. So at the end of the day who are we to take away from this n##ga because we don't like this n##ga," said Lanez.
He continued, "But who are we to say he's not dropping a big album and his point in his career is not pivotal to him like Tupac album was pivotal to him in his career."
Lanez definitely made a good point and we can see where he was coming from. Do you think 6ix9ine's new album is the biggest of his career?
