After upsetting a host of Chicago rappers like Twista, Rhymefest, Kanye West, Common, Chance the Rapper, Spike Lee's movie Chiraq hit theaters recently with a boatload of controversy.
One of the reasons that some people don't like the film, is that the film is a stinging satire, making jokes about the violence in Chicago and objectifying women. In addition, the film includes dialogue from Nick Cannon that does not accurately reflect the slang and ways that people in Chicago speak.
Twista believes that Spike has even re-invigorated the notions of a "Chiraq" with Chicago youth, which is something that took years to break down. Take a listen and hear Rhymefest go off on Spike Lee and his 40 Acres and Mule production.
