(AllHipHop News) Fans of Nipsey Hussle gathered together in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to pay homage to the slain rap star.
Nipsey Hussle was shot and killed on March 31 outside of his Marathon Clothing store, after a confrontation with a man named Eric Holder.
Holder, 29, was apprehended on April 2 after a two-day manhunt and charged with murder, attempted murder and possession of a firearm by a felon.
"Tonight's gathering was to remember him, to honor his memory and to keep him in our minds to show that even if he was born and raised in LA, he touched people all the way out in Africa, all the way out in East Africa, in Ethiopia," said organizer Nemany Hailemelekot.
Nipsey Hussle was of Eritrean descent. His music impacted listeners in Eritrea, as well as the country's neighbor, Ethiopia.
Nipsey, born Ermias Asghedom, will be laid to rest on April 11 at The Staples Center.
Celebrities, athletes, rappers and tens of thousands of his fans will celebrate the community organizer, who fought for the black and Latino residents of Hyde Park, the South LA neighborhood where he grew up.
