Too $hort's Release Party For 20th Album "The Pimp Tape"

The Oakland rap legend celebrated the release of his 20th album with a star-studded bash, Too $hort style.

Over the weekend, Too $hort's label Dangerous Music and EMPIRE presented an intimate album release party at Warwick in Hollywood in celebration of West Coast rap legend Too $hort's historic 20th studio album, The Pimp Tape.

The exclusive event was hosted by YesJulz, Big Von and DJ Jadaboo and included dancers, complimentary cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, t-shirts and a photobooth.

Superstar Swae Lee, Mally Mall, XXXTentacion's mom Cleopatra Bernard, Empire founder Ghazi Shami and more were in attendance.

Too $hort has successfully cracked the code to hip-hop immortality with 32 years, 15 million Soundscan sales, 6 platinum plaques, 4 gold certifications, and collaborations with the likes of Tupac, The Notorious B.I.G. , and Jay-Z.

With Drake utilizing his flow and lyrics on the double platinum DJ Khaled smash “For Free” and Yo Gotti and Nicki Minaj twisting “Freaky Tales” for “Rake It Up,” Too $hort’s influence is timeless, and his impact is felt across the globe.

As far as West Coast hip-hop icons, Too $hort deserves mention in every conversation alongside Dr. Dre, Tupac, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, and E-40.
