(AllHipHop News) The promotion/public relations company that works with Guru and embattled producer Solar has issued a statement regarding the recent hack of their client’s Twitter and email accounts. Solar has been under attack since the death of legendary rapper Guru, who was part of the seminal Hip-Hop group Gang Starr with DJ Premier. Family members, friends and fans have been questioning Solar’s motivation since the death of Guru, who died of cancer in April at the age of 47. On May 7th, an unknown individual illegally gained access to Solar’s emails and began tweeting private emails, photos and documents from his account, leading some to believe that Solar’s care for Guru’s health and his career was inadequate. “Yo! Promotions, www.yo-pr.com, has learned from 7 Grand Records that Solar’s official AOL e-mail account was hacked and that various e-mail communications between Solar and Yo! Promotions are currently circulating the internet,” a rep for Yo! Promotions told AllHipHop.com. “While these confidential e-mail communications contain nothing to discredit our firm’s professional work in any way, we do reject such illegal actions. “Despite the controversial contents of a deathbed letter allegedly written by Guru, the CEO of Yo! Promotions said the company maintained  the highest level of ethical standards and that all information in every client’s press release is verified. “It was an honor for Yo! Promotions to work with Guru on his last projects and we will sorely miss him, both from a personal and from a professional standpoint,” said Yo! Promotions CEO Kai Denninger. “Our warmest condolences to Guru’s family, Solar, 7 Grand Records, and Guru’s loved ones.”The person who has gained access to Solar’s Twitter account is still releasing sensitive emails as of this morning (May 11th). Additionally, it appears that Solar’s MySpace.com/Solar7Grand page has also been compromised.
