Akon Signs Gospel Rapper Mali Music to Konvict Muzik

(AllHipHop News) Though Akon hasn’t been present on the mic or released an album since his 2008 effort Freedom, the Senegalese-American artist/producer remains relevant behind the scenes as he adds gospel rapper Mail Music to his Konvict Muzik imprint.

“He’s a mogul,” Mali Music states, as he gives Konvict Muzik CEO Akon praise. “He’s done so much and it’s just a blessing that he was affected and impacted by the ministry and by the songs.”

Already showing his success in scouting new talent, as he executively signed T-Pain and Lady Gaga, Akon will expand his reach with artists that create music for gospel, pop and R&B genres.

Mali Music’s new upcoming album is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2012.

Shouldn’t you be happy that he has a platform for the whole world to hear his music? We Christians act like God’s grace is just for the saved. I pray God continues to work through you Mali.

Mali Music already had God’s favor he didn’t need Akon to enhance his ministry what a slap in the face of Christ to think this polygamist is he’s savior. It is like when the Angel of the Lord told Sarah and Abraham they were going to have a child in their 90’s she got him a slave girl to bare a child instead of trusting God.

The greatest worship in he bible and a poet was King David. Do you think he would had make music musicians at the temple of Baal? The word of God is our guide not this world system. Also, this reminds me of this scripture. Acts 16: And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:
17 The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation.18 And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.19 And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and drew them into the marketplace unto the rulers,20 And brought them to the magistrates, saying, These men, being Jews, do exceedingly trouble our city,
21 And teach customs, which are not lawful for us to receive, neither to observe, being Romans.
How do think Akon would feel if Lady Gaga and T-Pain became followers of Christ and started playing Gospel music?

The word said the sick are the ones in need of a doctor, maybe through God using mali music Akon, T-pain and lady gaga may become a true follower of Christ. It is not about who will get mad but who will be snacthed up from the fire of hell. What mali is doing should not be reflected on how we personally feel. Mali Music is a part of the body of christ and our duty is to pray that the Lord covers him, and lead and guide him in every direction. It is in the Lords hand and if he has join this label out of the will of God, because God loves mali music, he will send warning before distruction. So many want to bash mali music but they are not even obedient to God in their every day walk. God desires for us to acknowledge him in all our ways that he may direct our path. He will not lead us wrong. I may not understand what mali is doing but i just pleed the blood. My prayer is that he be the light in darkness

To be honest, most Christians have secular jobs they report to every day they’re scheduled to work. On the one side, your concern for what (could) happen to his spiritual growth, I applaud u on. But there r always 2 sides! On the other hand, u do give off a traditional religious “holier than thou” vibe.. Who’s to say the other artists WON’T be saved? Or does salvation only take place in a man-made church? Let’s lay down Old Testament Law/religion and pick up where Christ left off with New Testament Faith/relationship! Because McDonald’s is not exactly God’s portrayal of Himself, but some Christians work there:) the goal is for Mali to shed LIGHT in an arena where there is none; our job is to pray he succeeds, as well as TURN THE MIRROR FACING US daily.. Maybe OUR OWN hearts are judgemental, rather than steadfast and full of LOVE. All I can say is, “Lord be with Mali as he travels this road. Guide him, order his steps, and cause your ppl to keep him lifted in prayer. Whether his life is long or his time in the earth is short, I pray that you’re glorified in it, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

AMEN Harvey! It reminds me of 2 Corinthians 6:14
Be you not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? and what partnership has light with darkness?

i support the whole thing..i cant seem to figure why many church folk believe that gospel was only for the saved???!!!! christ said it him self you cant heal the sick where the healthy are…there are too many people out there who are just ignorant church folks and not Christians…i support mali 100% and instead of bashing him imma keep him lifted in prayer…

Jesus walked with sinners and they called him a sinner and a drunkard…how are we supposed to reach the world if we dont live amongst them. God will use him wherever he goes. It’a about the condition of his heart. The religious leaders in Jesus’s time criticized Jesus for the same reason yet he revolutionized the world’s way of thinking.
