Hip-Hop Rumors: Jay Electronica Working On EP With… Lil B?!

After taking to Twitter last night to announce that the New Orleans MC has officially completed his album Act II and will be turning it in tomorrow to the RocNation heads, he followed up with a tweet thanking Lil B for his “letters of encouragement”. The next part of his tweet is puzzling to say the least, “Let’s get busy on this EP we spoke of.”

Riiiiiiiight…How in the hell these two can create a coherent sounding project together puzzles us but we’ve heard worse things in the past… V-Nasty and Gucci Mane *cough cough*.

The more important news out of all of this though is that ACT II is coming soon!

my buddy’s mother-in-law brought in $15898 the prior week. she been working on the laptop and bought a $473500 home. All she did was get fortunate and use the steps made clear on this website  MakeCash11.com

  • Why not? At the very least, it will make for decent conversation for a week or so.

i know i am going to get some hate for this.  but i am a big fan of basedgod.  I get it.  its not for everybody.  it’s something completely different that we haven’t heard before.  but it many ways so is jay electronica.  the eternal sunshine record is pretty out of step with most things hip hop.

Everyone hates on Lil B.  he’s rhymes are scattered and sometimes complete nonsense, but its not supposed to be straight forward.  He’s not an mc that will spit 16 bars and you know exactly what he’s saying.  He’s an emcee that spits all over the canvas and creates a cloudy messy collage of ideas.  Yeah a lot songs are pretty ridiculous, but they are not meant to be taken seriously.  they’re just fun.  Anyway, let the hate of the basedgod begin.

How you expect to taken serious if you listen to Lil B? This is what Im constantly writing about, theres different variations of Hip Hop. Theres Hip Hop ( lyrical content, creativity, off the dome freestyle!), gangsta rap (most of this drug dealing shit out now), rap (radio friendly records), rap-pop ( that singing stuff), etc… True Hip Hop isnt even sold in any store that use barcode anymore, its independent. Hip hop is enlightening, unlike anything Lil B has ever said (notice I didnt say rhyme, spit or rap) on a track. Major record companies taken talent away from hip hop cause talented people are idealistic, most were religious & militant in the 80’s and cointelpro along with these banking companies (European satanic “Jewish” people) fronting $ to these record copmpanies couldnt have, a african populace culturally awakened influencing the world. When talent is taken away, anybody can do it, shit you dont even gotta write rhymes, just say another nigga lyrics & pay the publishing ( sound familiar?)
I cant classify Lil B cause he so much of a cornball I never bothered to listen to anything he ever produced. Who calls themself a “pretty bitch” & make a album called “Im Gay” then recants? Dude, blackpeople are hanging themselves listening to these so-called artist that offer nothing but homosexual induced nonsence, to think that Jay would DO AN ENTIRE EP with him is crazy but he’s on Roc Nation so it sorta makes sence, we gotta do better. Let me stop cause I can go on & on about being sick with the state of our consciousness now, back to work I go

      • Brian Andrew Smith

hahahaha  talking about consciousness, and then making some of the most closed minded xenophobic and homophobic comments possible.  also buying into the whole illumanti roc nation crap.  you are hilarious.

I’m into the light not who’s holding the torch, tawhid, monotheistic. Im at the point in my life where I know where “real-legion” came from so I follow where I recognize Yahweh. Comments like your make me think of you as someone who’s mind is so clouded by looking for descrepencies that you don’t realize your being divided and easily conquered by who I mentioned in my comment above, smh.

Let go of your hate brother. You’ll feel better. Lil B forgives your ignorance.

      • rep87

You are on point to the path of hiphop has taken many will follow whatever trend that is put in front of them and the industry know this, they view the public as nothing more than Lab Rats, and the ignorant will try and defend this crap, they pick and choose who they believe should be seen and heard and trust their children or grand children will not be watching the garbage they parade in front of ours 24/7  tv /radio / internet!

  • rep87

    what was act 1?

  • tahpics

Act 2 coming soon? I’ll believe it when I remove the shrink wrap from the CD. No mp3, I will actually go into a store to support the brother. It’s funny that Young Guru said this album was done in October. Jay-Z is a shrewd business man, but his A&R skills are non-existent. He could use Dame for that side of things.

  • PorchBoySlim

I aint gon lie most of the time Lil B be on some retarded shit but his illusions of grandeur mixtape wasnt bad….he was actually spittin..and he had a nice diss for joe budden

  • Intergalactic Ross Royce

This is great. All around. If you dont listen to Lil B you should. Not sure if this rumor is true, but if it is the bigger story is Act two getting turned in. I hope it comes out soon. Jay Electronica has so much integrity, and so does Lil B. The Ghost of Christopher Wallace looms large in the vibe of this monumental development.
