(AllHipHop News) Geto Boys member Willie D. will take part in a Hip-Hop panel this weekend that centers around the impact of Houston Hip-Hop music.
According to the Houston Chronicle, the University of Houston will host “Awready!: The Houston Hip-Hop Conference,” which will include a panel discussion, a DJ battle, interactive graffiti and a B-Boy/B-Girl exhibit.
Houston rap pioneers like Z-Ro, E.S.G., Lil Keke, Paul Wall, Steve Fournier and Chingo Bling will join Willie D. during a variety panel discussions.
The conference will also debut the University of Houston’s highly anticipated DJ Screw exhibit.
In September of 2011, the University of Houston announced that they had amassed a number of Houston Hip-Hop artifacts, including 1,000 albums DJ Screw used to create signature Chopped and Screwed style of production.
“Awready!: The Houston Hip-Hop Conference,” will take place on March 27 and 28.
