AHH Stray News: Drake Extends “Club Paradise Tour”; Bangladesh Signs To YMCMB; Curren$y Announces New EP

AHH STRAY NEWS: DRAKE’S TOUR, BANGLADESH’S DEAL & NEW CURREN$Y MUSIC

(AllHipHop News) After wrapping up the first leg of his well-received “Club Paradise Tour” with Kendrick Lamar, A$AP Rocky, and Chase N. Cashe, Drake has announced 27 dates for the second U.S. leg of the tour, to kick off after his European dates are completed. Drake has enlisted J. Cole, Meek Mill, 2 Chainz, French Montana, and Waka Flocka as openers for the tour that will kick off in Concord, California, on May 7 and wrap up in Boston on June 17. Information on dates, cities, and tickets can be found at LiveNation.com.

Grammy Award-winning producer Bangladesh is the latest act to sign, in some fashion, with the YMCMB label after signees Limp Bizkit, Ashanti, Christina Milian, and Mystikal were recently announced. Bangladesh made his name with YMCMB after producing the hit “A Millie” from Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter III. He later claimed that he was never compensated for his work on the record and yet, he produced Wayne’s first single from Tha Carter IV, “6 Foot 7 Foot.” It seems that the two camps have resolved their conflicts, as Bangladesh recently announced to MTV News that he was signing a “song deal” with the  label.

“We just did some nice business together. They just bought a whole bunch of tracks, that’s about it,” said Bangladesh. “They gave me a song deal, basically, first song deal I ever had, so shouts out to Cash Money.”

While he puts the finishing touches on his next LP, The Stoned Immaculate, New Orleans native and Jet Life Recordings founder Curren$y has announced plans via Twitter to release a 5-track EP with producer Harry Fraud titled Cigarette Boats. Harry Fraud is the sought-after producer behind recent tracks from Action Bronson, French Montana, Smoke DZA, and more. The news comes less than a month after Curren$y released The 1st 28 EP with Styles P. No release date for Cigarette Boats has been announced.
