Kid Rock's Son Launches Rap Career; Opening For Yelawolf

(AllHipHop News) A feud between Eminem and Kid Rock appears to totally simmered down, thanks to Kid Rock’s son Robert James Ritchie Jr., who raps under the moniker Bandit.

Bandit will open for Yelawolf on October 27, at Eastern Michigan’s Pease Auditorium, according to Detroit’s MLive.

“I want to thank everyone who has supported my music. Because of you and the hard work that I have been putting in, it is slowly paying off,” Bandit said in a post on his Facebook page earlier this month.

Bandit is working on kicking his career into high gear with the performance and his most recent single, “Rolling in the City.”

Yelawolf and Bandit’s father Kid Rock recently collaborated on the smash single “Let’s Roll,” which was included on Yelawolf’s hit album Radioactive

Since when did Eminem and Kid Rock have beef? Eminem and Limp Bizkit sure, but it was through Eminem’s friendship with Kid Rock that Yelawolf became associated with him.

Em and Kid Rock had a really small beef. Em always though Kid was too cocky. and Kid Rock and Steve Tyler of Aerosmith were at a party. eminem asks steven if he can sample “dream on” for his “eminem show” album. Steve says, “hey, i’ll re-record it for you!”.. Eminem didnt think his voice sounded a good as the original and was about to protest, when Kid Rock gets in their convo and says to Em, “Dude, you don’t turn down Aerosmith!”

Kid Rock & Eminem never had beef, lol

I’ll give the kid a listen, Kid Rock was a guilty pleasure for me in the 90’s before he went all the way into redneck land, lol

I know Eminem and Kid Rock never had a beef. Kid Rock even had a song with Eminem on it on a late 90s album of his.

I know for a fact EM never had any beef with Kid Rock.
I remember one funny story.Kid had blown up already and signed cds to fans in a store in Detroit.EM (who was unsigned at the time) went over to Kid and said he wanted to battle him,Kid answered with “I`ll battle you in record sales” LoL little did he know that EM would soon after that sign a deal with Dr.Dre and blow up 100 times bigger than Kid.
Kid Rock was happy for him though, they recorded a song together and have been friends since then.

One More thing on the Eminem/Kid Rock Beef comment, Rock Legend Bob Segar a few years ago did an interview and actually said he met Em at Kid Rock’s studio cause he was just there hanging out, I’ll post a quote from the story that was in the detroit paper:

It’s hard to imagine that Bob Seger hasn’t met everyone he wants to meet — from the world of music, sports or general fame. But yes, even iconic rock stars have people they’re eager to meet.

Talking Thursday about his fall tour, set to kick off Wednesday at Eastern Michigan University’s Convocation Center in Ypsilanti, Seger revealed to The Detroit News that he’d never met Eminem. In all these years, with both living in Michigan? Nope, never.

So when Seger heard Em was hanging out at Kid Rock’s place, he asked if he could swing by. The answer was “yes,” of course.

“He was really sweet, really nice,” Seger said. And he was impressed with Slim Shady’s level of fitness. “God, a piece of steel man, that guy is cut! You brush against him, it’s like brushing up against a fireplace or something. He works out.”

There is photographic evidence of Seger, Kid Rock and Eminem together, but alas, we can’t see it.

“I got a picture!” Seger chortled. “Nobody gets it but me, though. My own personal picture.”
