Shyne Breaks Down Legal Appeals Process, Pays Respect to Max B

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Shyne spoke with recently on a number of topics, including how he has been holding onto and supporting his fallen comrades, Hip-Hop artists who he says kept it real and “never folded under pressure.”

There is a long list of Hip-Hop talent currently tied up in the correctional systems of America, and Shyne said he uses his voice so the people don’t forget about those who are locked up.

About incarcerated rapper Max B’s current legal situation and efforts to be released, Shyne said, “I always have Max B in mind, in my prayers. Whatever I can do to help support him and his organization, to help him stay afloat while he’s fighting for his freedom… We can do a record together, whatever, anything to support, right or wrong.

“He ain’t kill nobody, no innocent civilians. Whatever happened, it didn’t involve innocent people.”

Shyne continued, “Whatever happened, it was in that life. I don’t feel he’s guilty. Somebody told on him. Dudes are about it! Then as soon as they face a year in jail, they turn.

“Most of my partners [are] in the prison ’cause of somebody like that, so that’s a problem I have with these kids. Once you turn, you can’t come back. God bless Max B, and I hope he gets his Habeas Corpus. Even though he was denied his appeal, you can go to Supreme Court and file all types of other motions. There’s a motion called Habeas Corpus that he could stil be victorious, so let’s keep it in our prayers [that] he will touch the streets.”

From behind bars, Max B also weighed in on Shyne’s support for his “Pardon The Wave” cause: “Peace to Shyne. That’s my dude – I always been a fan of his work. “It’s unfortunate what happened to him and his situation, but [he’s] a freedom fighter…he’s reppin’.

“That’s like my guy overseas ; he holding it down, he puttin’ the work in, getting the buzz out. [He’s] just supporting the movement, too, ’cause he know the struggles I been through. I know the struggles he been through, so we are one in the same.

“Shyne good people. Hopefully one day, we can meet up and make something happen…make history.”

This is a good look for shyne. He should stop trying to stay in the news by making dumb comments about rappers and stick to fighting for the lifers..

    • He said nothing dumb, these new dudes just thin skin & expect everyone to believe their hype. Game need to stop the dumb comments & his disrespectful trash album.

      • hoeyuno

Im far from a game fan my dude. But when Shyne goes after those dudes it makes him look desperate for attention. And have you heard shynes music lately??? He’s in no position to judge.

      • He didn’t go after, he gave his thoughts on the over hyped on his own personal twitter. Keep it real, guess that b.s. hip hop cliche was just that, b.s., well at least now.

  • Shyne is such a donkey……“keeping it real and never folded under pressure.” WTF……..Keeping it real is not going to prison for Diddy and after all these years then you wanna expose him……There is nothing great about a black man wasting his life in prison just for bragging rights.

    • therealest1

Leave Shyne alone, he’s keeping it real by getting deported, moving to another random country, and converting to Judaism complete with hairstyle and attire.

    • Bumpy Johnson

he exposed diddy long ago, wachu talking bout? and yes coz he is a gangsta that is keepin it real….”Keepin it real” is originally a term for gangstas . according to what he did , he kept it mad real.

  • InTheNightKitchen

    Stupid and stupider

  • Habeas Corpus = Produce the body, usually reserved for people under arrest, but not brought before a court and charged. Like in the GWOT / Gitmo, but they are denied legal rights, so how does Shyne feel a HC motion will win Max B’s freedom?

Can anyone explain this legal concept?

As far as Shyne’s comments that no innocents were involved?!?!

    I call BS!

Dudes may or may not have dirty hands in the game, but they were ‘INNOCENT” victims of a robbery! It’s not like they were trying to jack Max B or the others….dudes was just chilling with their guap. According to the evidence, the only guilt they had…was not breaking off the government a chunk of their sales, like Rite Aid, CVS, Duane Reid & other legal drug dealers do.

Other than that, it’s the same as running up on a CVS clerk, etc. & giving them some Mocha, because your too lazy to get your own.

I don’t consider Shyne a freedom fighter because he squeezed off on Scar for tossing a wad of cash in Diddy’s face.

Maybe I’m getting to old for Hip Hop? I’m damn sure too old for rap!

A Habeas Writ is basically your last chance after Appeal where you argue that the State and/ or Federal Constitution was broken in your case. Most Habeas Corpus Writs are granted when there is an illegal search and seizure, incorrect application of law by a Judge, or destruction of evidence. It’s a long shot but most paid attorneys would have caught those issues BEFORE trial. Those same issues are the reasons why rich people seem to get off easy. Their lawyers will find any little procedural mistake and can get the whole case tossed. I once heard of a guy charged with murder and the only evidence was the victim’s id in his wallet. Well the cop illegally searched the guy found the wallet searched wallet and found the id. The attorney won the motion to get the search thrown out and with it was the only evidence for the whole case and dude walked.

In short it’s not gonna happen.. OJ looks like he is about to get out though real talk Google his Nevada Robbery case his lawyers on point.

      • Good fuggin’ Look on the breakdown!

It’s nothin fam,.,. I just wish I learned it in school lol

      • School only teaches you how to read, write & act!
It turns out good workers…..not good thinkers!

Where do most of these cats like Shyne stand on raising families? I recall reading somewhere that Max B has a child; so in Shyne’s mind it’s more acceptable to do 30+ years in prison and miss out on your child’s life than to risk your reputation amongst criminals and do what you have to do to get home to help raise your child? There’s a difference between having your homies on the outside look out for your fam and actually being there to do it yourself. Am I missing something here?

  • What has this nigga done in music that warrants ppl talking about him…hes trash…
