Master P Drops “Al Capone,” Celebrates Release In Hollywood

(AllHipHop News) New Orleans, Louisiana Hip-Hop pioneer Master P is hosting a red carpet release party for his new mix tape “Al Capone” tonight (January 17) in Hollywood.

The mixtape, which was released today, is Master P’s first official release in over seven years.

“Al Capone” features a variety of A-list rappers, including Game, Chief Keef, Meek Mill, Alley Boy, Fat Trel, Kirko Bangz and others.

“This is history in the making twice. I already made history once with No Limit and we’re about to do it again in 2013,” Master P said. “How many people can say they’ve made history twice? That’s why it’s called ‘Al Capone.’ As he did, ‘The world’s most dangerous record company’ will do it again.”

Master P and company are hosting the “Al Capone” mixtape release party at The Roxbury tonight, that’s expected to feature a performance by Louie V, which consists of Master P, Alley Boy and Fat Trel.

“They remind me of myself – their talent and work ethic. They’re both underrated and the underdogs just like I was my whole life,” Master P. said. “I feel they’re the best in the game right now and we’re about to expose it.”

guess he realized that no one outside of the gospel rap circuit would even a quarter of the way interested in that style of rap music

First release in 7 years? We already forgot about TMZ (too many zeros)? Pretty sure that was last year…

  • eddieknucks

Dr. Dre did the same shit with “been there, done that” remember? That nigga wife was like do the shit that made you happy(money). P on the same shit. Positive don’t work when you not lyrically talented. Only thing he good at is dope beats and catchy hooks. Ugh here and there. Still, make it do what it do P.

    • ceenas

“Positive dont work when you not lyrically talented”…real s**t. P that dude though gotta respect his hustle

  • Calico Joe

I’ve been supporting P since the beginning, but this nigga tripping hard. How you make big, become rich and famous. Denounce the street life and gangster mentality. Promote nothing but positive music and education. Start foundations to help troubled youth. Then link with dudes and put out the same music that’s helping destroy the youth.

  • greeneyedbandit

“How many people can say they’ve made history twice?” President Obama! The first black President of the United States….and the first black President to be re-elected. much love to Master P though……he’s too funny~

  • vinsanity

See Rick Ross! that’s homage. P’s got his own name/ identity but for the concept of this mixtape its Al Capone, its a metaphor not identity theft. Dumb ass cop. Once a cop always a cop.

    • Roshizzle731

Kinda off topic don’t you think?

      • vinsanity

shut your mouth when grown foks are talking. You might learn something.

    • BoldSpice

Dumb shyt. If your ass aint a criminal what you hating cops for? Grow up moron. Only person on the page bringing up Ross is your dumb azz. You what’s wrong with black people today always tearing down your own people spreading hate. And right after MLK birthday. SMDH!!!

      • vinsanity

This ant about cops spice girl this about how certain things not being allowed in hip hop in my day, and how people are being bamboozled. Re-read my post dumbshit i just added cop to poke fun. Tearing down my own people? Do you even pay attention to the lyrics in rap music? Its doing it on its own.(Remeber Ross = Drug dealer). Little bitch next time try not to catch feeling especially for another man, act like i was talking about you and shit….Ha Ha

      • Roshizzle731

Exactly but you brought up cops ass wipe so i went with it.

      • vinsanity

Thats what dick ryders do they go with it.

  • vinsanity

P was being positive for his kids, setting good examples and shit. I think he did a good job. He came back when he son was all grown. He did put out the no cursing record with his son it came out only at target. Not a p mark or anything like that i just know my shit.

  • AfricanSoul

He won’t celebrate the sales for sure…I predict 20k max. and that is a maybe.

  • Fresh Dope

19th Comeback attempt, probably gonna end up like the last 18…… hey, he’s ‘positive’ & ‘gangsta’, associated with pillars of talent like ‘Chief Brief’ & ‘Meek Talent’ & coming with ‘original’ ideas like tha 2489th rapper using ‘Capone’….. Al is rollin’ in his grave!

  • Fresh Dope

……………& PLEASE don’t bring back that played out ‘PEN & PIXEL’ cover BS, saw over 1000 garbage NO LIMIT ‘albums’ with that 15 years ago……………
