Mobb Deep

Hip-Hop Rumors: Mobb Deep Reunion? Ehhhhhh

There has been some talk recently of a Mobb Deep reunion, but I’m hearing something different. This talk all started with a recent interview from Prodigy where he ran down what was going on with him and the future. But then, there is supposedly a reunion concert set for 2013 via Guerrilla Union. Hmmmmmm….

In an interview, he says:

“Yeah, I’m sure about that. I love Mobb Deep. Mobb Deep made my life what it is. Havoc feels the same way, so we’ll be right back to work. For right now, he’s doing his thing and I’m doing my thing. I’ve got goals I’m trying to accomplish, and I really can’t let nothing sidestep me or get in the way of that. If that means I gotta put Mobb Deep on standby for the time being, then so be it.”

But, I am hearing that is a bit premature. I’m hearing there is nothing even close to a Mobb Deep reunion on the way. I’m certain that by December of next year and the right money, they can make it happen. But, as far as P being “sure” of anything Mobb Deep related. I am hearing that can’t be true.

They keep us talking, but if we stop talking about them then they should worry! -illseed.

I’m seeing now more and more why niggas on this site hate illseed. This lame is always 5 steps behind, reporting on b*llsh*t, and he just an overall dumba*s IMO

    • Papi Peligro

      What’s an IMO?

      • MadVillain

        lol serious? IN MY OPINION

      • brotha_man

wow! use the internet much? no hate, just saying

      • Papi Peligro

        I GUESS NOT IMO

      • You used it wrong. If it’s a fact then it’s not an opinion.

      • johnblacksad

        LMFAO!

      • hoeyuno

I think it’s hilarious when your talking to a guy named thugkillaloc and he’s replying to your comment with (lmao).

      • hoeyuno

I just found out what smh meant the other day. The only acronym I use is ppls. I refuse to use lol, yolo or any other short forum deigned for 12 year old girls. O yea and isj

      • you must be new to the internet.

  • Papi Peligro

    Yeah that ain’t gone work.

  • MadVillain

im a big fan of the Mobb, but their time has come and gone. they left their mark on hip-hop, they got nuff classics but now its time to call it in because they just cant make heaters like they use to.

    • brotha_man

i agree and i still bump they old stuff. but nobody checking for these dudes

      • Papi Peligro

Been over. Since Saigon proved a gang of midgets can’t mess with normal size nigga.

      • MadVillain

nah dude what he proved was he can sneak punch a n!gga and make a fast ass break for the exit

      • atle fjeldstad

Sneak punch? P ran his mouth and got socked in the jaw..

      • Guest

you need to watch the video again then

    • plantfoodman

what u dont like rappers to be the same age as ur father? U didn’t like jordan when he played for the wizards?

      • MadVillain

fucc you mean? did i say anything about age?

      • plantfoodman

U implied dumbass by saying that their time has come and gone. use ur head when ur tying u idiot. i said it as a joke; u must of been picked on as a child & NO one liked Jordan when he played for the wizards but i bet Rakim could still flow better than most of the rappers 2day.

      • MadVillain

yo you know what you are – “a smart dumb n!gga” foh wit your sh!tty jokes

      • Apollo Showtime

I don’t believe that was an implication of age, but more so the reality that their brand of music no longer has longevity or the means of being popular/profitable these days… Shit Joey Bada$$ is only 18 and he spits nice, will it transpire into a long/lucrative career? I don’t think so, although time will tell. Why continue making it if no one is listening???

      • hoeyuno

Your trying too hard…. Please exit allhiphop . I suggest world star with the rest of the vagrants

      • Legendary Trolly

Jordan was washed up and too old, when he played with the wizard.

    • hoeyuno

I agre., there are plenty of old rappers and groups who do north america wide or a europe tour every couple of years and just keep to the classics. They can still make a decent living for them and there famz.

  • It will be ill if they can do it.

    • plantfoodman

no it won’t; it will suck like the knicks (used too)

  • carl weston

People still wanna see them perform, they make good money on the underground circuit regardless. Hit records or not. Rakim still get’s 10G’s a show and he hasn’t had a hit record in over a decade.

  • Tre C

that’s P’s attempt to have people keep paying attention thinking maybe one day there will be a reunion. Big Boi used to do the same thing with Outkast. Once the well dries up Mobb will hope for a reunion tour

  • scullyson

After all that dumb sh*t these two were slinging at each other Im not sure about how this reunion would be good for either one them.

  • DollasTX

we need ANOTHER mobb deep reunion like we need another Chief Keef album

    • johnblacksad

      damn!

  • andone

last years show was wild… lots of great acts on this line up as well might have to v.i.p that, but when i seen mobb deep on the bill i was trippin out… shout out to murs for trying to get these two together, he’s one of the few ppl who probably can make it happen… i was hoping ALC would step in and try to get them back but i guess its not gonna be an easy task after all that has been said… i got my fingers crossed!!!

p.s: all drama aside, that new hav “tell me to my face” is on repeat!!

  • Guest

illseed, it doesnt make any sense how you claim p cant be “sure” about anything mobb deep related but youre “certain”, you basically reiterated what he said

  • just_some_bastard #ALCOHOLIC

    I don’t even care anymore.

  • justmathoughts

so let me get this straight, p is not allowed to be “sure” about a mobb deep reunion but in the same breath youre “certain” of one? does two plus two equal four in the blogger world? cause sh.t aint addin up right

  • Antonio Diaz

saw P in boston recently, just terrible….and alc didnt show up…i usual dont to go to shows from QB rappers in Boston, cause they got a rep for not showing or coming maaaad late…..went to see P and he was sittin down on a milk crate during keep it thoro…yea..mad thoro…

  • Legendary Trolly

Havoc is a real dude, he will NEVER EVER EVER forgive Prodigy for the gay stuff in prison. Real dudes will never accept him for that.

  • wow…32 comments based off what you DONT wanna see…smh…this is why hip hop is in the shitter because our OGs dont get support from the hip hop community past a certain age…these niggas can do a 2 hour show strictly off their classics never mind how relevant they are…and relevant compared to whom anyway lol? The hottest nigga out right now cant even do a 2 hour show with straight CLASSICS!! Why do we act like this with our veterans?

    • The lethal

It dosent have anything to do with the age of the OG’s, it’s the skill level! The mobb is not what it once was. I seen a wack mobb deep show in their prime, but remember they came out at the same time as Nas, Jay, and Wu-Tang. Those artist, and members from that legendary group (Ghostface) are still dropping competitive material to go with their classics. When you don’t wanna tour with the legends of Hip Hop tour, you gotta be judged by your new stuff too. Side note; I liked that G unit Mobb Album, I think it got unfairly overlooked because heads were heated the Mobb signed with 50.
