Bone Thugs Have Eyes Set On Rock n’ Roll Hall Of Fame

(AllHipHop News) Bizzy Bone and Flesh-N-Bone of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony say the legendary 90’s Hip-Hop group’s current reunion is setting them up to hopefully one day join fellow Hip-Hop artists Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, Run-D.M.C., the Beastie Boys, and Public Enemy in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

“The 20 years- commemorating it. We’re going for the 25 year thing. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Cleveland, Ohio,” shared Bizzy.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is located in Bone’s hometown of Cleveland. The facility and foundation were created to honor artists who have made a significant contribution to Rock-and-Roll music.

An artist becomes eligible for induction 25 years after the release of their first record. So far, only four Hip-Hop acts have been selected for induction into the hall.

Bone Thug-N-Harmony released their debut album Faces of Death in 1993 under the name B.O.N.E. Enterpri$e. The group rose to prominence after the release of 1994’s Creepin on ah Come Up and reached national recognition with E. 1999 Eternal in 1995. E 1999 featured the #1 hit “Tha Crossroads.” The song was dedicated to Bone’s mentor Eazy-E after he passed away from complications from AIDS.

“We commemorating 20 years of excellence, of great music,” said Flesh. “All five of the brothers. It’s like real focused right now. Live performances. On tour. We working real strong right now.”

All 5 members of Bone Thugs made a musical comeback recently when they appeared on Games’ “Celebration (Remix)“. The track samples Bone’s Grammy nominated, Top 20 hit “1st of tha Month.”

The reunited Bone are scheduled to perform a series of shows next month in Texas, California, Maryland, Indiana, and Illinois. For more information about Bone Thugs tour dates visit

Bone deserves to be nominated when they hit the 25… and the Rock hall is such a beautiful museum, every real music lover should visit it at least once.

  • cameo

I would have to disagree they only have 2 hit songs , years of no hits , low album sales . Many many hip hop artists would have to go in before they would even be considered

Come one bro….sure they allhaven’t been #1 on the charts, but they have plenty of “hits”, Thuggish Ruggish Bone, 1st Of Tha Month, Tha Crossroads, Notorious Thugs, Thug Luv, I Tried to name SOME.. Go check their history/career. This isn’t mentioning how they changed the entire industry with the way they do it.

WTAF??? These guys were literally laughed at when they came out by anyone who was already into Hip-Hop.!! They weren’t even considered Hip-Hop!! Sheesh….

    • $18592567

U sound stupid as hell. BTNH are the most unique and original hip hop group in the history of rap.

      • Opposite Of Everyone

for you to say that is evidence enough that you know nothing about hip-hop and are should not even be engaged further

    • Gavin Gill

Are you retarded…? They had the respect of most of the top artists at the time (Eazy E, Tupac, Biggie, Ice Cube, etc). To this day they’re still the best selling group in hip hop history and are credited for being the final piece in the cementing of hip hop nation wide (East Coast was already locked, NWA opened the doors for the West Coast, and Bone opened up the entire American Midwest). They expanded hip hop’s borders exponentially, most international hip hop scenes are heavily influenced by them (Philipines, Japan, parts of the UK, etc).

They went multi-platinum the instant they hit the airwaves, and managed to have EVERY single album they released in the 90’s go platinum/multi-platinum as well.

You clearly need to brush up on your hip hop history…

      • Opposite Of Everyone

No sunshine, I have no brushing up to do as I was there and had been in hip-hop over 10 years when they came out. I’m tellin you there were ridiculed and not considered Hip-Hop. Commercial success means nada. You may as well say “eat shit, 10 million flies can’t be wrong”.

      • james

Yeah? And now you’re posting criticisms about them on a comments section on a website…you must be very successful.

      • Opposite Of Everyone

if you measure success by money then I am in the top 20% of world wealth although I am merely a teacher…

if you measure success by happiness and having a loving family and having the space to create and express then yes I am also successful.

why my success should dictate my ability to criticise others is beyond me brother…

      • james

Ill take your word for it, but I disagree with your stance on how Bone Thugs should not being recognized in the hall of fame. No, you didn’t outright state it, but it looks as if that’s the stance you’re taking. Yeah, commercial success doesn’t necessarily equate to actual musical talent (i.e. Lil Wayne, Britney Spears, Justin Beiber, Toby Keith), but I think this group deserves recognition. I think we both know they didn’t “invent” the fast-paced rapping style, but they certainly took off with it and made it popular.

    • thuglifefukdapolice

i dont kno what hiphop u from but bonethugs are legends came out with their own style and dropped plenty of classic songs from the south to the mid west to the mid west u cant go into nobody ipod and not fine bone thugs now the east is slow they never got bone thugs style

      • 5789007

That’s a lie im from baltimore and them niggas are legendary imo and lots of people here agree

      • Opposite Of Everyone

you might want to read that back to yourself, fellow homosapien.

    • Bumpy Johnson

      • Opposite Of Everyone

obviously the opposite of where you’re from

  • just_some_bastard #ALCOHOLIC

I don’t know if they belong in a hall of fame strictly for rap never mind the rock hall of fame.

    • thuglifefukdapolice

biggie and tupac did asong with these guyss before they both passed enough said

  • $18592567

CROSSROADS is on the best songs ever from any genre of music. These dudes are brilliant and impossible duplicate. Why u think Biggie did Notorious Thugs???

  • Terrence Booker

just for the simple fact, numerous artist using Bone style. Bone should be in the Rock…

  • coop

Bone sold over 40 million enough said

  • hoeyuno

Bone realize that nobody wants to see a reunion without bizzy…. Without biz and flesh they just bone n harmony.

  • i’mreloaded!

Hell yeah, didn’t Crossrads sell like 10 trillion copies or sumthin? All I know is their first three albums and greatest hits album are classics in my book. I’ll never forget when I first heard them on that song For The Love Of Money. That song gave me chills man. That beat and the Bone flow wit Eazy droppin a verse too? Epic.

  • brotha_man

I wonder why they don’t call it the music hall of fame

  • mccoy

They should be there… one of those things which you can name things on why they may not get there and name things why they could be there. And this coming from a fan since 1993… They were great and could have rolled right into the hall of fame easily if they had did a few things differently..For every hit they have they could have had two… They first album 93? then the second creepin 1994 then eternal 95? art of war 1997 and then resurrection in 2000 ..What if they had and album in 96..maybe 98….In this business you gotta milk it for all its worth when your at your peak..not to take away from solos projects etc…They did but Like i said they should definitely, be a thought to get it in. ( sorry for the rant)

  • Bone are one of the greatest ever. Of course they stole their flow from DAS EFX. Drey and Scoob never sold any records anymore after bone perfected DAS EFX style. And they sold platinum twice.
I’m not sure about the RnR Hall of fame thing. I think it’s a white rock thing. There are many brilliant rockers who deserve to be indicted. I still think it’s more time for Ice T’s
Bodycount to be indicted than BTNH, real talk. Just commercial success should not be
the key. The music should be somehow Rock n Roll like. Public Enemy fitted because thay always had some Rock cuts. We should have our Hip-Hop Hall of fame. Down
there on it’s birthplace 1520 Sedgewick in the Bronx. I will go there next week to
have a look for myself. Been staying in the BX a couple of times, but never went
to the birthplace. So I’m doing that now.
