Jay-Z and Beyonce

Hip-Hop Rumors: WOW! Rush Limbaugh Puts Beyoncé Down On “Bow Down

Why I am talking about Rush in this section is beyond me, but I found his point of view interesting. Here is what he said and the video is below.

“Their (Destiny’s Child) songs were attempts to inspire young women not to take any grief from men. She’s done a 180. Beyoncé, now having been married, having been impregnated and giving birth to Blue Ivy, she’s going out on a new tour. And they may as well call it the ‘Bow Down Bitch Tour. She’s got a new song … a total 180. Beyoncé is now saying, ‘Go ahead and put up with it.’ Because she married a rich guy. She’s even calling herself Mrs. Carter on the tour. She now understands it’s worth it to bow down.”

I think Rush is ignorant again, because he went into the whole Jay-Z stuff and basically showed he knows nothing. But this song sucks for young girls to hear. Can’t lie. It’s for the ratchets.

Add to the book.

They keep us talking, but if we stop talking about them then they should worry! -illseed.

Illseed, Out.

Rush actually makes a lot of good points, his bias can get in the way though obviously. But I feel him, if your empowering women, why take a dude name? As men I understand our ego think that its cool, but I wouldnt change my name, and seen a lotta women keep they name in marriage, they felt more empowered. I cant call it cuz im not a female, but I see where Rush going with this. Beyonce always played both sides tough, this aint nothing new, she even tried to create an alter ego to do it for her, Sasha Fierce, lmao. Just the industry.

    • Eli Pinilla

I feel him as far as the decline in the message of her music. If theres anytime in her career for her to make some empowering stuff, it should be now that she is married and had a daughter. Not feed into the the bullshit thats out now just to catch a hit……but the last name thing is rediculous. Thays tradition. Shes mrs carter. What other name is she supposed to go by??? I think he mean she is bowing down to the corprate shit…

      • brotha_man

I feel him one this, which doesn’t happen often. But this is the state music

      • The Undisputed Leader

More like…The sad state of humanity

    • Author King Steelo

Taking the same name to me shows unity it displays a family unit and that is what might be missing today with all the hyphens I see. it is not the same it does not say denote strong family unit like everyone having the same last name why do we do what they do who are they??

      • BulldogCG

I feel you, thats how you feel and i definitely respect that. I just also feel people put too much into names and not enough into themselves. The unity in the family will be there if you build it, hyphens dont have anything to do with that. I am all for social causes but this sort of thing is superficial, in my opinion. Taking a name can mean that, but it does not have to, i know plenty of people with the same names that dog each other out. Being a family is being a family, one can keep their name to proclaim their individuality, and if there is anything society needs more of it is that.

  • brotha_man

As much as it pains me, I agree with what he is trying to say.

    • Kristian King

If you agree with what he is saying maybe you should go to youtube and see the entire segment because I can tell you what is listed in the above quotes does not reveal the point he was making. the point of him bringing this song up was to say that “women should be subservient to the men they date and marry” and you can figure out by listening to only the first verse of beyonce’s song that this is not the point she is making.

      • brotha_man

I will do that I thought that this was to well put for ol’ rush. There is always the underline with him and not a good one

  • Rush needs to get off that Hill Billy Heroin!(Oxy Cotton / Codene )

  • You can tell a nigga of the street this right now he’ll say its ludicrous.

  • Kristian King

Rush ain’t make no good points at all, the funny thing is you guys spend most of the day clowning illseed then in this case taking his word for the meaning of Rush commenting on Beyonce.
Let me enlighten you all Rush was making the point that Beyonce is now in the song “bow down” telling women it is ok to bow down to your man and we all should already know he is way off base the song is telling all the little industry bitches to bow down to her not telling women to bow down to the man in their lives like Rush is saying.
Which for him goes in line with the trglodytic view point he has (and sadly alot of the people on here have it too).
You would think that black folks would do a little more homework before letting the words “rush is making good points” come out of their mouths.

    • brotha_man

So unless I read ur comment wrong isn’t that a contradiction to what she stood for up until mr carter

Rush Limpball’s opinion on Black music…
