Hip-Hop Rumors: SlaughterHouse’s Last Stand?

I’m hearing some rumor talk and its hurting my OG Heart. Word on the street is that the upcoming album by Slaughterhouse will be their last. My sources are pretty good on this one. Basically, they are saying that the guys are cool and all that, but they are all going to go down Solo Road. Plus, Joe Budden is a reality show star now anyway.

What do you think about it?

I just hope the album is epic!

They keep us talking, but if we stop talking about them then they should worry! -illseed.

Lying lies and the liars that tell them.

    • Naledge77

Do some research homie. This is a true story.

  • MrNoName2K

They pretty raw as a group but maybe they may better off doing their own thing. They just weren’t getting enough shine as a group anyways.
*footnote* Crooked I been eatin good lately. Dude lookin heavy as hell

  • Siflan

    I doubt this.

  • hoeyuno

The slaughterhouse thing was a sick idea but it’s not working for some reason. all of them will do fine on the solo tip.

  • I don’t buy this. They know they have strength in numbers

  • Two_guns_Billy

They should just drop the reality star and keep it going…replace him with ghostface or somebody like that..

    • don king

lol ghostface aint fuckin with those wanna b mainstream so bad fools! besides joel i never really liked them anyway n joel becomin wacker every min he hangs with those dudes.

      • water_ur_seeds

        quo

the got west, east, mid west and then south coast rappers in the group then… appeal to all the coasts and get more support… plus stat quo aint your typical southern rapper, he would go well with lyrical rappers…

      • MadVillain

been a minute since i hear sum1 mention Stat Quo, Big KRIT would be a better rep for the south tho

      • water_ur_seeds

just thought with stats shady affiliation, or previous affiliation he would be a better fit…

      • Two_guns_Billy

I think thats the point..I thought they came out ok because all of them were hungry..When they blew up niggas went mainstream..

      • Naledge77

Big KRIT is too dirty south. His rhyme scheme wouldn’t fit with the group. Besides Stat is way more lyrical and that’s what SH is all about.

Feelin the name by the way fam. Huge MFDOOM fan right here! Madlib of course is one of the illest underrated producers ever!!!!

      • MadVillain

KRIT too dirty south? i always thought of him as more country, he tends to stay away from all trap beats and heavily 808 orientated tracks but every1 got a opinion i guess.
lol yh man i used to fucc with DOOM big time when i was younger, i still listen to his sh!t occasionally but damn i had to snatch that dope ass name, i use it for pretty much every online account i have. yo madlib is the truth, Yessir Whatever! june 18th, im hyped

      • Two_guns_Billy

What about Currensy or Jay Electronica?I think Quo would be a good one though..

      • water_ur_seeds

dont think currensy would suit them, jay e could be a good fit though… but like i said earlier, with stats shady links just seems to match better… i would be abit skeptical with jay’s slow monotone voice, that it wouldnt blend too well…

      • Naledge77

Jay E’s ego is bigger than Joe’s so hell naw. Now Stat Quo would def fit best. But def they need a real southern cat in the mix. Joe needs to go home with his sensitive Love and Hip Hop ass.

      • Two_guns_Billy

Joe Budden is the one i think want attention..

    • brotha_man

      they need to add xzibit

      • water_ur_seeds

        stat

      • Two_guns_Billy

That would be good but they got a West Coast rapper..

    • water_ur_seeds

      add

    • Naledge77

I agree. Joe Budden was an attention whore and problem seeker. He’s probably part of the reason why SH failed to really take off to be honest.

      • Two_guns_Billy

Yeah I believe Joe wanted to be Michael Jackson and the others be tito..

      • Naledge77

        Well said!!!

    • Naledge77

      Canibus? lol

I know that he was murdered at that URL battle, but you can’t front dude can write rhymes and was one of the illest MC’s back then.

      • Two_guns_Billy

I don’t think he ever got over that LL thing…I thought he was going to go down as one of the best when he first got on…

      • Naledge77

Man I can’t get that damn Buckingham Palace track out of my mind. Canibus had everything going for him until his ego got the better of him. Oh well there will be other MC’s. Action Bronson is on the come up!!!

  • disqus_HdEbnLgy3c

All of them are bums anyway good riddens they all pretty much suck so no one will miss them at all

    • RMfag

      I will tho

    • Naledge77

Man, I can tell you don’t listen to Hip Hop or Lyrics. SMDH

      #FAKEFANS

  • Trauma562

It’s their fault. For making a trash album. I didn’t expect radio tracks from them

  • RMfag

    Id suck them off

  • Was anyone really surprised by this happening?

  • Georgios Renieris

I don’t blame them if this is true there is more money going solo but it’s gonna be same old flops like always. By the way after 15 years in has Crooked I even put out an official solo album.

  • After that las album, i’m not surprised. I just don’t understand what happened here. They were having so much success without the backing of the Matrix a.k.a. The Machine, a.k.a. Shady, a.k.a. InterJoke. Same as Yella Wolf, Trunk Music was and is a classic album in my opinion, then what does he do, go to Shady and fall the eff off like 8 Seconds! I hope The Slaughters don’t bust up after this album, Hip-Hop needs ’em. Shady/Aftermath/interJoke is like the new Bad Boy, career suicide.

  • don’t believe this bullshit… ITS A LIE!!!

  • dayleedumped

    the nosely brothers

  • dayleedumped

besides the cypher.. which i thought was dope.. wtf else do they do

  • Royce already confirmed this to be false… Good sources?? Foh

    • Naledge77

Naw man. Crooked tweeted this shit out because Joe Buddens is going solo.

      So def a true rumor!

  • Slaughter house got some real rappers, Leave all the silly as beats alone, F the radio, and come with some real HIPHOP joints!!!! Check out “VIRUS BY IL4M” on any search engine.

  • Heart of a Slave, Blood of a k

Their last mixtape was nice, album was average. I wouldnt mind hearing solo projects after they do another project together. I like hearing all of them all though this last one by Joe couldve came alot harder.

    • Frank

Crook killed “our house”. I wasn’t a fan like that, but he was murdering shit on that album.

      • Heart of a Slave, Blood of a k

I liked his verse best in the truth or truth although everybody was live on that song. He also went nuts on a cosmic kev show. He was like the Sheek Louch of the group til I really started listening to Louch. Especially on those Wu Block songs.

  • dehova

Since when did being a gossiping bitch give you an OG heart?

    • johnblacksad

      lol

  • Frank

no shit they are done. After the first official album, they’re lucky to get another chance. I’m sure there’ll be another if they sell well. And then eventually once the dolo projects are done.

    • Negro Peligro

      Cosign.

    • Josh Sykes

      The first album went #1

      • it sold like 51,000 the first week. If thats what it takes to be number , i rather be number 2

  • Negro Peligro

Yeah I mean who really expected this to take off.

  • 1080p. The Producer

Good Riddins!!! Fake hiphop savin ass niggas

  • HUSTLExXxMAN

that album was recycle bin music, but the mixtape they released before it was nice, I really think EM fucked them over on the production tho, and I don’t care how lyrical u are if the beat aint nice the track won’t be nice, them niggaz better pick better beats that’s all im saying

  • KarmasABeyotch

I have to say I am shocked by the comments about SH. ALL of them can rap…not just a little bit. Forget reality t.v. for a second and your personal thoughts about Joe Budden. What other 4 rappers have talent like that and hooked up? (in recent years I mean). So rappers who have hot beats but nothing to say is OK? I will be the first one to say they need better beats, but that absolutely takes NOTHING away from the lyrical content!! Rap is not even rap anymore…when some fool can argue that they suck it’s a wrap out here for good music. Stamp.

  • All four of these dudes are amazing artists and can drop you a verse to boost your track 100%. However that album they released felt so soft and cupcake compared to anything else they release. I think the pressure of commercializing their styles was seen in that album, and it’s a shame.

  • Mob BanCster

The problem that a lot of these artists have, is that when they pick beats, they choose beats with no power to them. That’s how I felt about DJ Quik’s The Book Of David, yeah he can play all of these instruments and shit but none of the beats really moved me because he didn’t have the bass hittin’ right!

    • trixnkix637

Nobody, Real Women, Ghetto Rendezvous, Babylon, Love of My Life, Time Stand Still.. my dude those were some cuts. Not sure what you mean.

      • Mob BanCster

I wasn’t feelin’ that shit. I grew up on Quik, every album. I was mad about Ghetto Rendezvous too because I didn’t think it was right to shit on his sister like that on wax

  • PeteBang3r

This is what happens when ni66as go comercial… Stay true to where you started at!!

    • tha OG

      so true real shit!!!
