“See I got demons in my past, so I got daughters on the way
If the prophecy’s correct, then the child should have to pay
For the sins of a father, so I barter my tomorrows against my yesterdays
In hopes that she’ll be okay
And when I’m no longer here to shade her face from the glare
I’ll give her my share of Carol’s Daughter and a new beach chair”

My boy really look like he bout to choke up. I think it’s amazing sometimes how much we think we’ve grown only to find out that things we thought we’ve overcome may still affect us.

Worst part is that paranoia last well after the first couple of years after birth and doesn’t appear to go away…. I am a witness to that

Its tough because when tough situations rise in a relationship between you, your child and they’re mother, that question arises in your mind “Is this why my dad left?” Its always a test of strength and will when raising children, it becomes a lot easier when you and your spouse are still together while raising that child. Big ups to Jay and all the Dads in the world who love and are there to care for their children.

i have great parents. they are still a big part of my life. they did a great job on me and my siblings. yet i STILL worry about being a great father, and my daughter is 7. I fully understand Jay that, and i am looking forward to the album that much more since there looks to be some of that grown man talk i can relate to.
