The Top 20 Tweets About Kendrick Lamar’s “Control” Verse

When Snoop Dogg passed the torch to Kendrick Lamar and told him to run with it, he did. And now with his epic verse on Big Sean’s “Control,” K. Dot has brought heat that could even rival that of Hell’s kitchen. Kendrick names names, calls himself the King of New York, and definitely raised the bar just as he had intended.

Social media has been in a frenzy over it.  The energy surrounding the Compton-native right now is electrifying and so AllHipHop.com has compiled a list of the top 20 twitter responses (so far) to Kendrick Lamar’s contribution to “Control.”

140 characters or less can still really say a lot.

Share your thoughts on Kendrick’s verse and the response to it in the comments section below!

It was hot but it is over rated. It nothing new. I remember i high school when you would battle all someone had to do was call out someone in the crowd and go in on them and they won they battle.

I ignore Big Sean all the time. In fact I skip straight to Kendrick verse and let it finish.

I was gonna say u better have BDK’s on there…that’s the best one hands down and the utmost truth…twitter is killing hip hop…back in the day NY rappers woulda been in the studio within an hr…KRS woulda got out of a hospital bed if he had to to respond…these lame NY rappers now just jump on twitter to talk…big ups to JOrtiz, Mickey Factz and the others who walked it while the rest are talking it…

  • Michael Metaskriptz Mattox

His verse is too overrated and makes absolutely no sense. He just tried to completely rap like Eminem and not think about what the hell he was saying, just as long as it made a cool controversial rhyme. People think it’s hot because he called himself the King of NY and politely dissed people (not really dissing). That’s all you can say about his verse? really? What he said was stupid and like Cassidy said, for people with only half brains.
