Trinidad James Speaks on “L.I.A.A.R.S.”, Calls Peter Rosenberg An A*shole + More

(AllHipHop News) Trinidad James has been on a tour of provocation this past week after saying the South runs New York music and then dissing Charlamagne The God and Peter Rosenberg on “L.I.A.A.R.S”. In an interview with XXL, James explains “L.I.A.A.R.S.”, claims he is not apologizing and has some choice words for Charlagmagne and Peter Rosenberg.

While Trinidad James understands his public perception make his opinion quite divisive but he does not retract his statement:

The same thing that I said in front of every New Yorker that was in front of me is the same conversation that is happening in barbershops and the same conversation that other artists are talking about. It’s just it sucks to come from a n*gga like myself. If it was anybody else saying those things, it would be A-OK. But because it’s me saying it, that’s where the whole problem resides in. At the end of the day, I get it for what it is. But I can’t apologize for the truth.

The Atlanta rapper does admit that he did not “say everything perfecelty” and that there is  “no way humanly possible that Atlanta could ever run New York”  but never fully retracts his statements.

Apparently, the inflammatory “L.I.A.A.R.S.” was recorded prior to this week’s controversy and is intended to be on an upcoming project entitled Crazy Deacon. In the song, he claims him and Peter Rosenberg are now “best of friends” after he wanted to “punch him in his sh*t” and maintains that stance, however adds a few more inflammatory shots at the Hot 97 radio personality:

That’s his job: to be an a-hole. And now me and Peter Rosenberg are best of friends; I like that guy, he’s cool. It just sucks that he’ll go down as the greatest interviewer who was an a-hole of all time, but it is what it is.

These rappers in their feelings f*cked up on that syrup poppin sh*t about New York left and right. Your down south shit is hot in the moment n*gga, New York made this shit available to you. You’re a guest homeboy- show respect.

Lol nah maybe 6-7 years at most. 50 still had the whole game in a choke hold by himself in 06. Everyone gets a turn so no hate but it’s funny how these rappers act like they got new money. They don’t know what to do with the little shine they got. This new found success. This 15 minutes of fame. They shouldn’t be all cocky tryna shit on NY. The spot light goes away, this is a moment in time.

This is only news b/c Def Jam is behind it. They are trying very hard to recoup on their investment….TJ has cost them plenty paper and the only way to generate interest in his lackluster project is to create controversy….it’s evident b/c other than a minimal plug for his single, the bulk of the stories floating around various media outlets concentrates mainly on his recent statement and NOT his MUSIC…nice try b.u.t. some of us see right thru the hype & call technical foul…and we get the ball back…if this is what it takes to bring awareness to an already beaten horse then I expect to see changes…changes in stories covered…changes in radio playlist…changes in musical direction…otherwise this is getting redundant…NY got the message already…there are tracks out there right now with the classic NY sound and old school feel…highlight them….play the music and stop playing US…for suckas

Isn’t this the same recipe that 50 uses before one of his albums drop? Make a big commotion over nothing or make a “beef” with someone just to promote himself?
