    I bought Nature’s 1st album,only had one good song.
Was so happy when I heard Mega snuffed him, thought he also listened to the album.

    • Celz

I fuccs with Nature.. Mega Montana is better though.. Nas is one of the GOATs but I love Nature, Mega, and AZ.. I remember when Mega killed that Survival of the Illest mixtape that came with DMX first joint.. Was bumpin the hell outta that…

      • brotha_man

those were the good old days in rap. i always like mega and Nature…
Used to bump that “we aint friends” heavy when it came out

      • richard_b_hard

Mega is one of the most underrated cats in the game, the Realness was a dope album,so was the True Meaning.
AZ is also underrated, too advanced lyrically for most niggas too.
Man I miss real RAP music, now we got all these cornballs shucking and jiving, talking about shit they older brothers and cousins were probably doing like it’s their experience.
Survival of the illest was the shit.

      • Chris

I have a “Survival of the Illest” concert on VHS. Cormega, Foxy Brown, Onyx, Def Squad, Method Man, and Def Squad are on it. I forgot I had it until you mentioned it. You took it back, bruh.

Nature spit on “Banned From TV” off N.O.R.E.!!

  • Clue

This was my joint. These old nas nature freestyles were incredible. Too bad Nate used all his heat on them and left nothing for his own releases

  • Ojay Juice Henry

I fell for this twice now. the first one was the nature, nas, nore freestyle. i thought it was some new ish till i played it. kind of thought the same thing too with this one till i heard it.

God damn what happen to rap? you hear natures lines? I just doesn’t move these kids today. they aint trying hear all those “words” . no catchy lines / hooks, then its falling on deaf ears.

  • Elayorx El

Yeah, this classic right here. I think if we talkin comp on the same song, as far as who was better between Nas, and Nat, they was bout even. Nas obviously brought a little more to the table, and as we all know, the rest is history. Maybe these dudes are cookin up somethin new, which would be incredible for Hip-Hop. QB reunion coming soon!

  • iamwhoiam

Forgot about this…miss this kinda hiphop…

    • Vic Sage

      This ‘IS’ Hip-Hop!!” Period.

  • bisolabliss

C’mon y’all, Nas is Nas, but on this jawn, Nature was flawless.

  • Heard that NAS & DJ Clues are BOTH coming to #BikeWeek2014 :]

  • Rufus Buck

“Heavy thoughts in my cerebral make me wanna stash the Desert Eagle wherever we go.” ©NAS THE GOAT!!!!!

  • Papi Peligro

The bridge is over the bridge is over. Obviously you guys don’t remember Nas said in 2001 Nature moved to Marcy. I don’t remember no Nature Nas joint since then. I think ImmaPuroz got hold to an AHH posting account so he can go. QUEENS.

As I recall, a lot of folks were grumbling(right or wrong) about “It Was Written” being too commercial. This was the last installment of a freestyle series entitled “Foulness” that Nas put out around the time that album was released. In addition to introducing Nature/the firm, I think it was something of a concession to those people.

“faces with buck fiftys, I stick you for trying to stick me, your gats don’t bust, them crabs you trust, they’ll f around and pass you dust, have you off point, then blast you up, leaking like Henny though plastic cups.”

  • BAOW

this is pre it was written beezy, it wasnt a series of foulness he released, it was jus a name he gave songs that him and nature did for clue, this was on a clue mixtape. source: ima huge hhh that owns that mixtape

    • beezy

I dunno. The series had 4 parts and came out right around the same time as “It Was Written.” I’m certain of that cause I was making tapes at that time. Parts 3 and 4 featured Nature, parts 1/2 were all Nas. All of this stuff was first put out on Clue tapes or released to the overnight/college stations like 89.1, 89.9 in NYC. Also, I was referring to the pre-release chatter about the album. A lot of the talk leading up to the release was that it was a marked difference from the production style and direction from what was seen in “Illmatic.”
