“I never leaked anything about the Clipse. I didn’t do that. All I did was tell everybody I was in the studio for 20 days with Pharrell and Chad,” Pusha told DJ Heat. “Then there was a leak that happened and other people just found out that other people were down. But I wouldn’t do that. So, right now I’m on my Pusha T right now. I don’t want to mislead nobody, but we just working.”

Pusha also talks about the critical success of his debut solo album My Name Is My Name, what it feels like to be back in the studio with The Neptunes, and connecting with rap artists in the DMV area.

I kinda knew The Clipse thing was bogus. Who the hell wants to rap with an emcee that’s only spitting pro-God rap? That’s not what The Clipse were about. I personally think that his brother has some ish going on in his head. Not because he loves God, but because he acts as though pushing God’s word is the end all to be all. Like he can’t work with anyone that’s not doing what he’s doing. That’s some weird sh*t if you ask me. That’s even weirder than Ma$e’s bullsh*t.

What’s wrong with “pro god ” hip hop? Lecrae is better than most ” secular” mcs.

      • ItGoesDownINtheDM

open they eyes !! and lecrae aint the only one its a movement of good
gospel rappers out there today they just not getting any promo on ahh dot com but that time will come that is for yall sleepers some people dont need a mainstream website to open our eyes to some new ish

      • Knickfan4life

Oh of course I’m not this super religious person because I thinks Christianity has some odd people calling themselves ” Christians” ,but yeah lecrae just makes great hip hop that the casual fan would buy ,as well as cross movement ,Braille, I was a big fan of freedom of soul back in the day.its room for all hip hop.

right you guys are devil minded just poised for the poison so much your like pro god rap LMAO you sound so programed and lost right now … and imo Pusha and Malice album would be perfect cause that dynamic exist in real life … i think the conversations they could have in rap verses could be dope … its about doing what hasnt been done before … push the envelope !!

      • Since you put it that way it sounds like it could be interesting but good vs evil been done before

    • Celz

No Malice doesn’t rap for himself. If Jay Z raps for himself he can get on tracks with Lil Wayne and Rick Ross; dudes whose enterianer personas practically disrespect a lifestyle that Jay Z claims he lived. No Malice raps for a message that God has given him so if he doesn’t want to rap with someone who contradicts his message it makes sense..

  • Black Jay

You can like whatever you want dude… It’s just my opinion that God and Hip Hop can only be done in spurts. Maybe the way DMX tried it. But to do a whole album and to base a whole career on it? Nah… That’s not working. You come off sounding self-righteous and preacher like. Nobody wants a whole album of that stuff. Just ask your local DJs.

    • ItGoesDownINtheDM

speak for your self theres a whole sector of great gospel hip hop that you are obviously sleeping on that many many many many fans enjoy … dont forget lecrae sold just as many records as rick ross without the same promo …. ijs

      • Black Jay

Do you homie! But if gospel is the end all to be all like you say, why are you on a website like this one? I don’t see no spirituality on here. You being here just confirms my point.

      • Damn bruh lol…..can’t say u lying…sometimes truth gotta b hard like that

      • Black Jay

I hate to do it but sometimes folks be trippin’…..

    • Tell-it-like-it-is

i think it can be done because there is other subject matters u can talk other than the word of christ without compromising your faith. People act like just because somebody might be religious that they don’t go through everyday struggles and go through different experiences in their life that will connect to the masses, but i blame it on the industry because they have us programmed that when we here Somebody is a “Christian rapper” that they have nothing to offer musically. Yet, when we see rappers like asap rocky, lil wayne, etc who make videos immolating satanic rituals and blatantly wearing in upside down cross its ok and we should listen to that music. Satanism is a religion and a lot of todays rappers make whole albums around that and the industry seems to push them with success so why can’t it be done with somebody who believes in god.

      • Black Jay

I hear what you’re TRYING to say. But this is THE CLIPSE. This ain’t a dude that just came into the game and loves God. This is The Clipse. People fell in love with a certain formula. Now you wanna try to alter that? It’ll never work. Not in a million years. This ain’t about me knocking someone’s love for God. It’s about Chemistry. That’s like when ATCQ tried to add an additional member. The chemistry was affected. You can’t do that. It just won’t work dude.
