    Man please do us all a favor and keep this shit in the tuck. The first one was only passable cuz ppl were starting to make it a point to have ill low cuts with fresh shape ups. Not to say that wasn’t already hip but anyone who lived through 2001-2003 will know this to be true. Plus it just went right with the time. They had a lil corny but catchy (and classic for the time) Jagged Edge song to really push the soundtrack and set a score/general tone for the film. In short it was just a ok idea at the perfect time that sold real well. Not to mention ppl were finally starting to have dvd players in their house on a large scale so it was a hit. But remember that second joint? Yeah barely a memory. And let’s not even mention Queen Latifah’s joke “Beauty Shop.” Come on craig man! Do us a favor n make fuckin Last Friday already!

      $65 Million on a $30 Million budget = 100+% profit.
      25% profit = excellemt business model

      Cube started from the bottom now he’s there!

      *Not counting the Friday series, Riddick movies, XXX,
      Boyz N The Hood = Cassic
      Death Certificate album = Classic
      Barbershop = Classic
      Friday = Classic
      Are We There Yet = Clas… uh, er, umm…PROFITABLE!

      Show respect & support for one of Hip Hop’s own.

        Exactly. These movies cost close to nothing in production compared to
        the usual Hollywood movie. All they pay for is some celebrities to make
        an appearance. And even the sales later for DVDs and TV spins are
        generating regular revenue worldwide. Movies like “Are we there yet” are
        even showing regular on Chinese Television. They won’t show Friday
        though. Ice cube’s movies are also big in Africa. And people there pay a
        lot of money to get even Cable TV. It’s all business.

    wasnt one of my favs but i have mad respect for the big homie Cube. to see where he came from and how hes branched out. his music has never changed despite his movies. he knows where his money is and he keeps his heart and message the same in his music. big ups. people complaing about his family friendly movies makes no sense. the friday movies are for the hood niggaz and urban audience that like that kind of comedy, the family movies are self explanatory and the barber shop movies are a happy medium. i dont see the problem. dude is mad smart covering all bases if you ask me. get all that money homie lol.
