Lil Wayne Shouts Out Jay Z On Announcement Of "D'usse" Single

(AllHipHop News) “That D’ussé is the s**t,” raps Jay Z on Beyoncé’s “Drunk In Love.” It appears Cash Money rapper Lil Wayne agrees.

Wayne used his weekly video series “Weezy Wednesdays” to give a preview of his next single titled “D’usse.” At the end of the clip, the Young Money leader gives a shout out to Jay.

“Hov, f**k with your boy,” says Wayne.

The two rap superstars have a complicated history of being both collaborators and competitors. Jay even tried to sign Wayne at one point in his career.

Recently, Jay was involved in a verbal spat with fellow YMCMB artist Drake. The Roc Nation head threw a shot at “Ms. Drizzy” on his “We Made It” verse after the “Worst Behavior” rhymer made comments about him in Rolling Stone. Drake later suggested Jay missed a Raptors-Nets game because he was “somewhere eating a fondue plate.”

Producer Vinylz – who has produced tracks for Wayne, Drake and Jay – recently spoke with AllHipHop.com about the situation. In his eyes, the back-and-forth between Hov and Drizzy is not personal. It’s just part of the competitive nature of Hip Hop.

“Yeah, it’s Hip Hop. It’s all competitive,” said Vinylz. “They don’t really have no real issues, I’m sure. It’s just Hip Hop.”

  • Lil Wayne looks like that was one of the proudest moments in his life. I’d hate this picture if I were Wayne.

    • Brick Soulja

      • Sean Taylor

Cuz he’s looking like a gump that he is….

      • Brick Soulja

        What’s a “gump”?

      • Celz

Lame, fake, sucka, phony, corny.. I mean this is the man who became a blood, skateboarder, and rocker all in his late 20’s lmao

      • Brick Soulja

        I can’t knock the young man’s hustle.

      • Celz

If his hustle involves a grown ass man sacrificing his integrity and acting like a teenager to sell negative stereotypes to kids I will knock it every chance I get.

His rap persona that he promotes is a fake sell out. Almost as bad as Rick Ross.. Lmao at being a Blood but not from an actual Blood Gang. Shyt is ridiculous. Part time skateboardin ass nicca.. Hes corny af my G..

      • Brick Soulja

You could look at it from a perspective of him also being a responsible father who makes sure his children aren’t homeless, starving, without clothing, without his last name or not even knowing his identity. He doesn’t live in his mom’s house, he doesn’t drive his mom’s vehicle and he doesn’t have to borrow money from his mother. He’s from the ghetto of New Orleans and never had his biological father in his life, but he’s now worth over 100 million dollars. He gives out meals for Thanksgiving and Christmas in New Orleans every year. He builds parks and homes for people in New Orleans. Man, I could go on and on about the positive things Lil Wayne does for people who are less fortunate than him. When was the last time you purchased school supplies or Thanksgiving dinner for at least one person that’s not in your family?

      • Celz

The harm he causes with his ignorant stereotypes influencing kids from the same troubled start that he had greatly out weighs his charity work. If he’s so rich why does he keep pushing his negativity to the most impressionable members of society. Miss me with that feed the kids bull.. It’s a tax write off, I should know I’m the director for a youth sports non profit. I put my time and money where my mouth is every damn day..

      • Brick Soulja

It sounds as if you selectively listen to Lil Wayne’s music and you could care less about any good he does for his community. What’s the name of your non profit, so that I can give you guys a donation?

      • Celz

You ain’t gotta assume shyt wit me my G.. I keep it 100 at all times.. I gave Wayne his props he kicked some heavy shyt on the Georgia Bush track about Katrina, he spits all day. He’s also fake and not the best at anything. It’s called honesty.

And I don’t post personal shyt online whether it’s people I know in the streets, music industry, or whatever. I’m out here in Cali heavy, if you tryin to chop it about some business we can set somethin up but I’m confident in what I do so I don’t my shyt to be verified if you don’t believe me that’s cool.

      • Brick Soulja

I would think that you would want to publicize your non profit group on such a big platform as All Hip Hop. However, based on the language you’re using, you probably wouldn’t want the youth to find out about your behavior. If you really want to start a non profit in Cali, contact Attorneys Emily Chan and Gene Takagi. Better yet before you do that, just go to this website…………”calnonprofits”………….org. Peace be unto you.

    • ThaRealHater

More like “Contact High”. Niggaz aint really doin shit they just around it and act feel me?

      • Brick Soulja

        What you mean?

      • Celz

Niccas ain’t smokin big blunts.. They around the big homies that do, inhale a lil second hand smoke and then start talkin silly…

      • Brick Soulja

        Who talking silly?

      • Celz

No one.. Dude was agreein with you but saying they aren’t about the street shyt like they say they are, that’s why all they do is diss.

      • Brick Soulja

I’m not even understanding what you’re saying.

Def two of the best in the game and to ever do it. Where they are on the list is another story but they are on the list..

LOL…(Wayne) and jay z. i guess,i respect them both for two very different reason tho..

  • jbworldwide1

It boggles the mind how anybody can call Lil Wayne the best. Best rapper of the retard generation? I’ll give you that.

    • Ipullcards

Stop hating the boy got bars may not always be the hottest but he’s more consistent than anyone ever. Been a platinum selling artists since he was 15 and a gold artist at 14. Go read up on him he deserves respect in this rap shit and I don’t like his new material but facts remain

      • jbworldwide1

        Mind boggling.

      • Ipullcards

Only to a simpleton. Your opinion and the facts are two totally different things

      • jbworldwide1

        Point proven.

      • Butch Magnus Milosevic

The irony of a Wayne fan calling someone else a simpleton…

      • Celz

He’s not more consistent then the other person mentioned in the article. And Wayne has bars because he raps about general topics and tosses in punchlines that can be used interchangeably. Wayne is alright he was hot shyt back in the Dedication and Gangsta Grills days but he was never anywhere near the best at anything. King Los would murder Wayne at any point in his career as far as bars. And when it comes to being real, singles, street music, solid albums and whatever else there are plenty of guys ahead of him. Not hatin just real shyt.. I got bars my nicca what does that mean? Drake got bars, so what.. Wayne is the best for niccas that like rap not Hip-Hop..

      • Ipullcards

Well this is rap so is Los. You must be from Baltimore. A lot of local dudes have bars. I agree with that. But most don’t have longevity or plat & gold singles u completely missed the point or rather the conceptual idea of consistency in a business or art form. You have to produce not just mixtapes guy. This isn’t 1994 hiphop is dead (mainstream wise) it’s rap and pop/Molly rap. Not to burst your bubble but I’m sure u know this

      • Celz

I’m from Cali.. I’m not knockin Wayne. He was the hottest thing movin for a few years on the mixtape scene. And his longevity is only matched by a few like T.I. and Jay Z.. I’m just sayin he was never the best. There is still real rap that’s out there Kendrick went Plat on a concept album.. And Wayne is supposed to set trends with his stature but he earned his success by sacrificing his integrity and following the trends from people who weren’t even alive when he started his career..
