Hip-Hop Rumors: Lebron Headed To The Lakers?

LOL! Tyrese is at it again.

Nah, I’m playing, but Tyrese did spark this rumor for me personally. Then, I did a bit of searching and realized its all over the place, in the news. But it seems like The LA Lakers are looking to get LeBron James on their team. LeBron recently – after taking that massive L to the Spurs – opted out of his contract with the Heat. He’s now a free agent. I’m hearing the Lakers want to bring Carmelo and James to the West Coast with Kobe so they can be unbeatable. What do you think of this turn of events?

I find it funny. I’m thinking somehow LeBron finds a way to stay in Miami.

…..and does lbj have a mixtape coming? (dr. phil voice)

  • Killuminati

lebron will end up staying hes just pouting for the moment

  • Guillaume Pilon

when a player switched team too much it ruined his dynasty

    • Jared

His legacy was already tarnished. If he leaves this will solidify but opting out doesn’t mean he will necessary leave.

  • Trill Gates

this nigga only options are to either stay with Miami or go back to cleveland. any other decision would cause the world to lose respect for him

    • Charles Austin

They already don’t respect him so him going somewhere else won’t matter. As a lakers fan I hope him and Melo do come cuz I believe at this point Kobe doesn’t care if he’s number 1 on the team he just wants to win more rings before he hangs it up for good.No matter what any of them does they’ll never past Jordan for being best ever so they might as well do what they want and get as many championships as possible.

    • GP

he got the wizards thunder mavericks, or rockets you think he’ll fail with those teams?

      • Yep, but he will get paid!

      • GP

you right. its all about checks and rings.

      • More checks than rings in my book!

  • Sgt. H. Jennings

I think a player should be able to play wherever they desire. Team owners/coaches GM’s trade and get rid of players left and right for reasons to capture championships, save/make money and no one says anything. As soon as players start exercising their power to play where they want for I’m sure similar reasons it’s all of a sudden a problem… I say play where you want if you have the power do so….

  • El Dogga

Allhiphop……covering LBJ potential next landing place in the NBA???? Right…….Unless he is going to announce his next landing spot on the next “Gangsta Grill” mixtape this shouldn’t be on this site! smh!

    • Jared

LOL…you never know who is dropping a Gangsta Grillz mixtape

      • El Dogga

        Exactly! lol

    • TheAfroRican

      Hilarious lol

      • El Dogga

  • Ionithus

I don’t believe this cat has any loyalty but for himself. He left Cleveland seeking a better team. They won a couple of rings. Now that the Heat lost, he’s seeking somewhere else to go. If they had won, there would be no question about him leaving or staying. Sad.

    • trilltalk1

maybe he opted so Miami could get cap space to bring the nigga some help. Bosh and Wade should do the same thing.

      • TheInfiniteToker

Agreed. Though, if he wants to leave because Miami did lose to the Spurs, then I don’t blame. Every player can get frustrated with his position and leave and go to a team where they have championship opportunity. Steve Nash did it when he signed with the Lakers. He was originally going to sign with the Toronto Raptors because he wanted to retire on a Canadian team, only to change his mind and sign with LA to try and win a championship. Bosh did it to Toronto himself. It’s all what’s best for that player in the end. Turned out, going to Miami WAS best for Bosh. However, I doubt he goes to the Lakers if he goes anywhere new. With how they played last season, nobody would want to go there.

I don’t know why anyone would want to play with Bryant anyways, he’s by far the biggest hog and crybaby in the NBA.

      • TheAfroRican

If Bosh and Wade don’t opt out, then Lebron is not re-signing. He wouldn’t take a pay when his spectating teammates are making more than he his.

  • Ipullcards

    Haha he ain’t going there

  • jon dubock

what do i think??? i think illseed is a tard for even posting this up…
otherwise you need to do a rumor article for the rest of the 31 teams that are also rumored to make a pitch at lebron…

  • Twonpass

    This is strictly business….
no player has to stay anywhere, fans make up that dynamic that they are not loyal if they move to different teams……Again all business, but i doubt he leaves Miami… collectively they are a pretty good team (when they play for real and cut the bullshit)

  • GP

LeBron not playing with no kobe he worse then d wade. kobe done and im sure shaq going make sure bron bron don’t hook up with kobe.

  • T R I L L ✞ S A V A G E

Only reason bron opted out the contract and peruse free agency is to put pressure on pat railey to get better players on the heat pretty much to revamp the team

MELO is going to Houston and Kevin in love going to chicago
    That’s just what I think

He def aint going to L.A

    • lando

What you said bout Bron is true but Melo coming here to the Chi. Love we might find out tomorrow where he going but aint here cause we got to give up too much.

  • Jared

Bullshit. Why even post that nonsense?

  • GMF357

Lebron and/or Mello go to the lakers im not watching the NBA cus its gon piss me off when they don’t demolish other teams and go to a gm 7 in the playoffs…..Just bring on Football already!

    • W.E.B. Du Bois

you’ll be surprised – the ball sticks with melo’s style of play – stunting the style of LeBron and kobe, especially kobe because his game is always shooting

  • scullyson

Straight Fiction/BS…Never say never ? Im sayin Never…Nah but this is nothing more than barbershop talk..

  • Elayorx El

For the record, I agree with some here that in the end, this is all truly about business, bottom line! Where has the loyalty been to the players by the owners? Sgt. H Jennings below, hit the nail on the head. It’s all about conditioning. Loyalty is a two-way street. So is respect, and quite frankly, LeBron don’t need it from those that don’t matter. Maybe Jordan and them didn’t have the heart to try and pull anything like this. Doesn’t mean one is not loyal, maybe just more intelligent? I am in total agreement of how the game is changing, and LeBron should receive a little more credit for this change. I really do not know how Jordan became the, “end-all-be-all” for basketball goals, and accomplishments. Let others be who, and what they are, and allow them to become a part of history the way THEY deem fit. We really need to broaden our scope about this. I do admire, however, Jordan’s maximum output, in terms of getting better, even when everyone(including himself) knew he was already the best.(of his era)

  • Guest

If this is true then congrats to Lebron for the move. Him and Kobe on the same team, they will be unstoppable.

    • W.E.B. Du Bois

such a gay looking pic lol – that’s you checkin out the beef lol

      • Guest

Your pic is the gayest lol that you when you see somebody shooting lol

sorry but he is coming to the Clippers!!!

    • AK

for what a sandwich and 20$?

  • RichFromBX

Time for LeBron to break out on his own. If he makes the same move now as he did with the Heat (Big 3 type ish) he’s never going to get the respect a player like him deserves.

He’s at the level to say “this is my team, you’re welcome to join it if you want” and not go chasing off to LA with Kobe or trying to link up with Melo.

Go back to the Cavs where it all started and if Melo or anyone else wants to come let them but you can’t pull the same ish twice…would like a bitch move. You got rings now be a boss

  • dolomite205

Lebron like to play against the Lakers. Plus Kobe would be so jealous of Lebron. it would be problems. ask shaq,Dwight etc

  • AK

I’m a Lifetime Lakers fan I been watching the sqaud for over 20 years and I DO NOT want lebron to come here. I cant stand his diva ways and I especially cant stand his ignorant bandwagon fanbase who btw HATE KOBE and the lakers.. and if he would leave maimi like that what makes anyone think he wouldnt do it again he has a history. The Lakers orginization is about loyalty we dont need another Dwight Howard cry baby like Lebron. With all that being said I dont think lebron would want to team up with Kobe and help get Kobe #6 and #7 in the first place.

    • W.E.B. Du Bois

everything you said about Lebron is wrong – this young man has handled himself as a outstanding ambassador for the nba – he’s never been involved in anything negative – what he choose to do with his career is totally legitimately HIs business, and not a reason to hate this outstanding young man – he shouldn’t bless you with his presence

      • AK

woah you couldnt have his dick anymore further down your throat

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

your a dis-respectful dumb new-genner – to you losers, saying a good Truth about another man is “‘dick suckin'” – you Cound’nt be more Stupider than you are – your nothing but a tool for our eniemes to sit back and watch do the dividing

      • AlbertoRipRon

Dude you are mad corny. Tool for the enemies? We talking about basketball here. The man got a point. Lebron is a diva. Only another diva would understand and side with a diva.

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

you want proof your a idiot ? – ok, here’s Proof – your comment has no point – “you corny, LeBron a diva” – that’s you. replayed – no point, just a dumb comment with no substance – like AK , a dumb new-genner, with no educational value – and if you don’t know what I menat by “tool” – That’s More Proof you a Dummy

      • “Only another diva would understand and side with a diva.”

Dayum! Everyone knows what type of B’ish your are.

      • AlbertoRipRon

Lol damn, dude got a track record?

      • Worse than mine!

LOL remember, address or nothing! LOL

      • Hahahaha!

That B’i$h Ninja had me show up for nothing!

      • AlbertoRipRon

I know what a tool is dumb ass but yet you’re talking about “you’re a tool for the enemy” because of that nigga’s comment is just downright stupid. Your suggested “insightfulness” is nothing more than a weak psychological comment game that you think would shut up another poster who post their opinions that doesn’t align with yours.

In other words, you throwing shit in the conversation that has nothing to do with it. All because you’re a Lebron fan and you don’t think he’s a diva?

The point remains, divas like divas because they think the same way. How are you misunderstanding the simple? You moron.

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

dig this you worthless foreingner – 1) there is nothing In this world your immigrant ass can teach me – 2) if we made yo dumbass learn Our lauguage you would’ve read that “tool” is the thought of “dick sucking” when making a true statement of good in another Negro – 3) all the rest of that stupidity you typed? – keep it fo your kind. I don’t stoop low enuff to even address that foreigner ignorance – take your ass home where you can talk Stupid with those that shaped you

      • AlbertoRipRon

So you comfortable with thinking I’m of latin descent because my name on here is Alberto?

So does that mean because Bruce Lee is in my avi, I study Jeet Kune Do as well?

And this is all because people dissed Lebron.

Go head girlfriend. Stand by your man.

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

your asking your Stupid questions cuz YOU know you a dumbass – again, Go mingle with your kind to stop embarrassing yourself steppin way outta yo league

      • AK

        its *you’re

and you’re pretty dumb for a old fucc..

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

      • AK

wow are you retarded? proper grammar idiot its YOU’RE not YOUR

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

re-read my last comment shithead, you typed nothing that changed that

    • Poseidon

That’s all I’ve been saying. There ain’t no way Lebron wants Kobe to floss another couple rings, lol. No way.

You know he’s competing for the GOAT, not second fiddle to a GOAT. Just saying….

  • TheGreatGazoo2012

I think a rumor shouldn’t be a blatant lie. We’re a little to old to say something and then say “sike yo mind make yo booty shine.”

  • AlbertoRipRon

LOL Lebron is wack. He’s an opportunist and for that he will never be remembered as one of the greats.

    • W.E.B. Du Bois

he’s giving teams the opportunity of him – and if he was – opportunist are smart

      • Spoken like a true boot licking, @$$ whipping ducking, sellout!

    • greenhouse records

He is already regarded as one of the greats.

  • Markus

If LeBron wants to play with a broken down shooting guard who’s best playing days are behind him, he’s been there done that with Wade. He wants to be loyal but if he wants to win more rings he’s going to have to leave Miami. He’s working with the oldest roster in the NBA and after nobody showed up in the finals to help him, he should go. However the next move should not be to Los Angeles. Kobe is finished no matter how much he believes he’s not.

    • Anthonyd Smith

Washed up? Clearly you’re high. Kobe about to come back and smash the game next season. You can bet that

      • Markus

After almost 20 years in the league, surgeries on his legs,no real supporting cast in sight and in the competitive western conference where there’s at least 8 to 10 teams better than his, he’s not doing anything. No doubt in his mind he feels he’s the best, but his body won’t be able to follow.

      • greenhouse records

The last season where he played healthy the Lakers were the 7th seed and barely made it into the playoffs.

    • trey slaton

Bron got 2 rings in 11 years that he’s been in the lead he ain’t better then Kobe Or bone shut yo bitch ass up u don’t know nothing about basketball smack the shit out chu B

      • Markus

You’re a dumbass sir. Nobody was talking about the rings because of course Kobe has him by three. What I was saying bottom line is there’s no way that lebron would team up with a broken down kobe who’s best playing days are behind him.

      • greenhouse records

Kobe only has 2 being the leading man.

  • joey fingaz

Im a true Laker Fan, it sounds good, just something about LeBron I don’t trust, I support my Team no matter what. #lakersnation #LakerGang #truelakersfan #nobandwagon

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

Great Pic – I was there for all of em’ – Clinton was President – had a lotta of fun people around me back then – Very fun and profitable 90’s

      • Schooly B

Same here. I lived not far from the old stadium during those times. I remember my mom taking us to the stadium after the first 3 peat and catching a glimpse of Scottie driving out from the underground garage. There has yet to be a team better than the Bulls in the 90’s or a player better than Jordan.

      • John Q. Public

die hard bulls fan as well. what u think Chi should do this offseason?

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

let boozer go and eat his contract – try to pamper D-Rose knees, not much they can do if Rose is not like he was – difinatly need much more Offense, scoring power, but not Melo anymore , can’t really answer that – too many bad moves that hurt now

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

Agreed, no betta team – not long ago, so you can see how on-court comparisons would be -. and you lived on that fun West Side

    • Schooly B

No, really lol. That’s nice. Hahahaha!

    • Schooly B

No, really though. That’s nice. Lol

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

good post – we need informative messaging

  • I think yall should refrain from sports news until it’s an actual fact because this no better than the hundreds of “experts” saying “oh we knew he would opt out, sources say…” blah blah blah

  • Thenatural503

Lol not enough balls to go around with Melo Lebron and Melo all playing the wing. Good luck with this one.

  • joey fingaz

snatching up Isiah Thomas (kings) Michael Carter Williams (Sixers) Tyson Chandler (knicks) would be good tho’

    • joey fingaz

Nevermind just heard Tyson Chandler got traded back to Dallas

  • 1hiphophiphop

naw man…. naw.. Bron better stay out east where he’s almost guaranteed finals appearances no matter what team he’s on.

  • Hectik

Labron lames.. I thought u said u were the best? What happen to thoses dunk commecials, and dre beatz, ……thought it waz hard being u? What happened to the labron app..corny azz nigga.. foh

    • W.E.B. Du Bois

what happened? – all those things are going Great !

    • sakiru oresanwo

      Lebron..its on the headline

  • John Q. Public

…there is this thing called the salary cap

  • Andy

Illseed, just stop. You’re a casual NBA fan at best, don’t try and write articles about it and embarrass yourself.

As a Lakers fan we have about a 1/100 shot at Lebron this summer.

  • meanygreene

so what is he gonna do then next time he loses in the playoffs? “I cant win wit’ y’all niggaz, im switching teams”

    • W.E.B. Du Bois

he’s contract was finished or had opt out year – its his life , he can make any decision he wants At That Time

      • meanygreene

your right, its his life. he can play for every team in the nba on a yearly basis if he wants. on that note, im out, be easy

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

if his contract is for one year at a time, or option year at a time — then Yes

  • eddieknucks

Lebron opted out to rearrange his contract to free up cap space so Miami can make a run at a big name free agent. He not going no where. The big three gonna take less money to get someone like Melo. Not a fan but they still a powerhouse. They need help at point guard and a true big. Bosh too soft.

    • true..they made Bosh soft with that bullshit system..having him shoot outside shots all game…in Toronto he lived on the box and was a beast

      • I been telling cats this forever……why that boy be posted beyond the perimeter is beyond me.
