Dame Dash Blasts Kanye West For Being Disloyal (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Dame Dash’s 2014 public statements have been mostly occupied with taking shots at what he calls “culture vultures” in Hip Hop, but the mogul turned his attention to one of his former Roc-A-Fella brethren in a recent interview. While speaking with Shade 45, Dame called out Kanye West for not being more supportive of the Roc co-founder Kareem “Biggs” Burke after his incarceration.

I’m a little tight with Kanye because he hasn’t reached out to Biggs. I don’t like that s**t. So, Kanye, holla at me. I don’t like that s**t… Biggs was the one that was like, ‘Yo, Dame. Pay attention to what Kanye’s doing. Make sure you send him that music.’ No one’s reaching back. Certain n***as have, that’s why I’m not calling everybody out, but Kanye hasn’t. And he hasn’t checked on his kids. He hasn’t checked on his family. No trial. And the s**t I’m hearing him complain about is irrelevant based on the fact that he doesn’t look back to the people that helped him. So period, until he holla at me – we gotta have a conversation. Period.

Kareem “Biggs” Burke pled guilty to conspiring to distribute more than 100 kilos of marijuana in 2012. He was sentenced to 5 years in prison. Biggs played a huge part in the founding of Roc-A-Fella along with Dash and flagship artist Jay Z in 1995. Kanye was brought onto the roster in the early 2000’s.

Very interesting… I wanna hear Kanye’s response more than T.I.’s right now! (and I do want to hear what Tip will say back to Money)

    damn…. got me gossipin like a m*f*cker!

    • Casor_Greener

      Dame is a sucker

  • The Legendary Troll

that is pretty weak if this dude is the reason Ye is who he is

    • johnblacksad

Ye knows nothin about that ‘code’… not to say that he shouldn’t know better.

It’s a bad look he’s being called out for ranting against luxury brands that won’t make room for him to design borderline gay sh!t, and he’s ain’t never checked on Biggs kids…

Ninjas spend millions on flower walls while the ninjas that helped make him sittin in the house with their commissary empty? Not a good look

      • Killuminati

I doubt his commissary empty bro….he had legal money too and I bet jay z still kicks back or dame would be calling him out too

      • Papi Peligro

Exactly I don’t want to hear about Basquiats everywhere and your people who helped you get on is struggling.

  • RichFromBX

they had a business relationship and probably nothing more than that. dudes get way to caught up in what they think they’re “owed”. He don’t owe Biggs or his kids anything – if Biggs had told Ye “hey, listen man, I know you’re just starting out so anything I earn through the music you produce for the Roc I just going to give it straight to you to help you out” then you would have a something to complain and call Ye out on but that didn’t happen.

Biggs didn’t bring Ye up out of the kindness of his heart, he heard music that they could make money off of…again, it’s business, nothing personal.

The ignorance of many who believe in the “code of hip hop” will prevent them from seeing it from that angle, coupled with the bias towards the new ‘ye they gon’ roll with Dame lol! but that’s a great point though, Biggs was mostly a silent partner how do we even know Yw and Biggs interacted much? how deep was the ‘friendship’ or rather association

  • IceBergSlim

This dude is wack now that Jay z has taken him out the game. All he does is go around like a str8 bitch and talk about everyone. I have no respect for this bamma

that’s the thing, maybe they weren’t friends outside of work. If one of your former bosses goes to jail are you going to go visit them and check in on their kids?

      • Ain’t No Future In Yo Frontin’

If I owed him in some way, yea I would. Can’t stand disloyal people

      • RichFromBX

what does he owe??? he was an artist signed to a label – is every artist ever signed to the Roc expected to go see this dude in jail and take care of his kids?

      • 5% Hov

What does he owe? Biggs wasn’t even an active part of the company. FOH

      • golder1

Kanye didnt grow up with Biggs. He was signed to the lable so how does that make him and Biggs friends. Thats Dame’s boy and he expects others to do as he has done.

      • Papi Peligro

He believed in you. The point is you can’t run around asking for a hand out from other people when you were disloyal to the people who helped you. So once you get on you gone do the same to me.

      • 5% Hov

“disloyal to the people who helped you”

HOW SWAY? disloyal? He made millions for Biggs and Co.

      • Papi Peligro

Alright but when it was time to side up even Kanye West said he betrayed Dame. Dame and Bigg were the ones who supported him Jay Z didn’t believe in him. In the end of the day he rolled with Jay Z. That’s not questionable. That’s fact. What Dame is saying is ok. You want someone to put up their money on your venture but you got a history where if that person needs you in business you are not going to reciprocate. You trendy and not about building brands you about running to what’s hot. So its 2 ways to go. I can take your shirt with the deal. Which is what companies are doing to Kanye RIGHT NOW and why he’s so mad. Meaning I could’ve given you a 360 type r@pe cause your lane wasn’t popping and it was experimental. Instead I dealt with you on a certain level. So you want people to believe in you like DAME did and work with you on a certain level when you have a history of turning your back on that support. People not going to mess with you cause you are a super star you not Jay Z. Apple not messing with Kanye like Samsung is messing with Jay Z. But Kanye wants that type of support. Why would they when you going to bite the hands that support you. You have history of it. Nike Red Octobers. Fendi. He has an acceptance issue he wants to be accepted as he is by the greats. What he doesn’t know is greatness is organic and if you value the things around you and the things you have built other people will value them more. So if valued the real people that helped him even though they may not be the best named brand people will value what he’s doing people will work with him more in business. I know that’s crazy break down. But its my valuation of Kanye for along time. He and allot of Black men even ones with father’s have an acceptance issue. They need name brands and things to find the value in themselves. They need Jay Z and Kanye need to push dope cause its cool. Its an acceptance issue that people want accept you the way you are. You need Warren Buffet. A great example of someone that doesn’t need this kind of Attention. James Harrison the pittsburgh steeler. Look at the way he shows appreciation for people and things that have helped him along the way.

  • Slaughtr

Let’s get this straight all this bs about Jay taken him out the game what the fck are you talking about. Jay didn’t make it on his own so get that shyt straight. Dame knows nobody owes him anything and he’s not talking about anybody owing him so stop speaking that shyt out you mouths. If any of you niggaz think hadling five years in prison is kool your a fckin fool for speaking. Truth is truth so respect it and know why it is but half of yall sck J’s dick so good you forget that. A motherfcka who contributed to your growth as an artist yea niggaz you are suppose to check on family but maybe that’s why my man Jaz O carries Jay the way he does. Fck a niggaz money or high in the sky you think he is even doves cry and fall with broken wings and always you look out for the folks that helped give you the proper push to excel so stop thinking dame aint shyt he created the biggest rap artist in recent years so like a gang it’s all for one. One thing I hate to see is brothers bickering over irrelevant shyt and casting bad commentary from our own. All respect to Dame without his keeping on def jams ass there would be no mega star Jay Z. Biggs all respect because he was the silent power house behind the roc. Motherfuckz kill me with bullshyt post thinking they have every industry nigga peged because he thinks a nigga fell off….Keep working your job or the streets the Dame can feed you your whole life. Build your legacy then talk shyt.

    • Weedras

But didn’t Jay and Dame them offer Jaz-O a deal with Roc and he turned it down then went on his bullshit though? i get what you’re saying but Jaz-O is a bad example to use…

    • golder1

You sound dumb. Kanye owes Biggs nothing. He didnt build his career, he listens to his music and said Dame should push it. Without Jays talent Dame and Biggs would both be broke. Jay would have become a star without the both of them. He might not be this big but his talent is undeniable. You sound like you are the one on someones d!ck. do you know Dame and his balls personally!

      • AverageDon

      • jazzoh

many talented people out here in all genres of music entertainment never even get a shot…ijs …no labels wanted to sign J he has said that himself

    • 5% Hov

Dude you said “a few that just aint true.”
Jay-Z and Source Money were offered Rocafella deals – they both turned them down on some Jealousy shit.

As far as anyone can work out – Biggs fronted the initial cash to start up rocafella – and that was it. Nigga could barely read. He did no mareting – no management – nothing.

If Biggs was bank – Dame and Jay would have paid him back after Reasonable Doubt and kept it moving. But they kept him as equal partners.

Hence why Biggs – after he spent up is 30 million cut of Rocawear and Rocafella assets – went straight back to selling weed.

      Biggs = #badniggamove

  • Eli Pinilla

Maan look, Biggs is a grown ass man. He was a founding member of one of the biggest hiphop labels but still felt the need to deal drugs…..f*ck kanye. Why ain’t U tell biggs not do do that shit? If that’s ya man, and yall making millions like that, then you shoulda told that ngga to leave the shit alone. He shoulda never been sellin in the first place……Dames always callin somebody out but his shit is all f*cked up. That’s why dame gets hate. Cuz he looks like a hypocrite and it shows.

    • MrNoName2K

    • Screwface

Man that dope money BUILT Roc-A-Fella into what it was and without that you wouldn’t even know who Jay and Ye are right now. I don’t expect people to know what loyalty is these days though. OGs like Dame and Biggs ARE stupid for thinking Lil niggas even understand the concept of loyalty.

  • jeezuz_walkz

    does it even matter???

  • Markus

Dash thinks once you’re in Roc-A-Fella, you’re always in Roc-A-Fella. The fact is he’s the only one who hasn’t moved on. That time is over as much as Dash wants that old thing back.

Some of ya’ll missing the point. KANYE is begging all of these fashion people to believe in him. Help get his fashion line on. He did the same thing with Dame and Bigg who helped him with the music. Then when he got big with the music he ranned out on the people that helped put him on when he was crying for help. Aint loyal. So why would a fashion dude go and put money after Kanye. Particularly when Artist and Rapper clothing labels trend and rarely suceed.

    • 5% Hov

Kanye met biggs about 3 times… and made millions of dollars for him. FOH.

I love Dame he still a character.

But his shell companies continue to report zero profit. Rachel Roy is definitely successful but not because of Dame. (in the beginning maybe)

Don’t get me wrong I’m a Dame Dash fan. BUT i’m starting to realise Hov is a better “business, man”. Independent is a great philosophy but in reality everybody needs partners. Dame partners with people on every venture. Why he acting like he doesn’t break bread and exploit talent? That’s the heart of any business.

Hov is not owned in any one deal. he always partners. Something he learnt from Dame.

Dame personality is the reason why he aint AS successful in this industry. He is far from broke – and still relevant to this culture. Shout out to Rocafella.

They believed in me and helped me so it’s only right i reach back to them if they need my help. Everybody aint cut from the same cloth though.

Well some people are fake and some mean what they say and take it to heart…..does kanye owe biggs anything prob not but no one owes a homeless man who asks for a dolla anything either but if you deal in reality you think but for the grace of GOD go I and every once in a while peel off well I do …..a homeless man or woman who damn sure never did anything for me…..much less someone who was a part in the vehicle I used to get me where I got to….. however insignificant a part he was….alot of things real people do they don’t have to do are not required to do but do cause your cut from a different cloth most can’t relate because most are not real now a days ..one

Some of yall ain’t never hustled so you may not understand/agree with the concept, but anybody who has took risks to get money/success you know that other people help you along the way and you may not owe them money but you owe them respect/consideration.
People who have helped me along the way in life starting with my family I always will help them. When I got grown I sent my grandparents money even though they didn’t want any; my mom I sent money even though she had more than me; my aunts, siblings, etc. When my street brothas went to sit down I sent them money, when they came home I put money in their pockets to get them back on their feet.
