Nas & Carmelo Anthony Among Big Names Investing In SeatGeek

NAS EXPANDS HIS BUSINESS PORTFOLIO BY INVESTING IN A TICKETING TECH COMPANY

(AllHipHop News) Nas is one of the most legendary rhymers to ever pick up a microphone. The Queens emcee is also a well established businessman.

After taking part in the creation of Mass Appeals Records (Bishop Nehru, Boldy James, Fashawn, & Run The Jewels) and providing capital to over 40 start-up companies, Nas is adding another brand to his portfolio.

According to Forbes, Nas joins a superstar team that is investing in the ticket search engine SeatGeek. Well-known athletes Carmelo Anthony, Peyton and Eli Manning, Shane Battier, and Mike Dunleavy Jr. are among the other investors who contributed $35 million in the Series B financing round for the company.

“I’m excited to be on board with the SeatGeek team,” said Nas. “As our world gets more complicated, tools that give consumers simple solutions to make big purchases are going to win in the market, and we believe SeatGeek is that solution for live event ticketing.”

Carmelo Anthony and his Melo7 Tech Partners venture capital firm has been very active in finding opportunities to fund growing businesses. The New York Knicks all-star invested in 50 Cent’s SMS Audio in 2013. Melo also served as a worldwide brand ambassador for the headphone company.
