Maino: I Want Them To Do The Biggie Movie Over (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) After the huge success of the N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton, other legendary rap stars’ names have been discussed as possibly being future subjects of a biographical movie. Brooklyn rhymer Maino suggests a film already made about one of his fellow Bedford-Stuyvesant representatives should be getting the reboot treatment.

“I want them to do the B.I.G. movie over. I think it was done a little too early,” Maino tells DJ Smallz. “I want them to really get that one done right. I think you have to let a little bit of time go, because you want to speak to another generation.”

The life of Christopher “The Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace was depicted in the 2009 motion picture Notorious. The film was released just 12 years after the death of the iconic emcee. Notorious reportedly grossed $36 million at the domestic box office, and the George Tillman, Jr. directed movie was met with mixed reviews from critics.

And I really want you to stop doing music!

They wont do it. Hes already has his movie and it did what it did. He isnt viewed the same as Pac as far as being as much of a LASTING image, the further we get from his time the less he will be talked about. Pac is different, they teach classes on him, use his music in commercials and all. Its just different. Theyll never make another movie on him again.

    • SimonSays

They teach classes for both artist. Pac I agree is more relevant since he had more well rounded hits and was able to put out more music in life and in death. No one will forget or talk about Biggie or his music any less. He had a pretty big on hiphop as well though. I agree also you shouldn’t give a do over for a Biggie movie. It did good no matter the reviews and they should let it go.

The only way this new generation would be interested in a new Biggie movie is if you add in Puffy putting a hit out on Pac and Suge and Suge retaliating. Otherwise this story is done.

  • EniggaMA

maybe i’ll watch it this time
