Is A Deluxe Physical Edition Of Kanye West’s ‘The Life Of Pablo’ On The Way?

(AllHipHop News) Even in an era of streaming platform exclusives and surprise releases, Kanye West’s roll out for his latest album The Life Of Pablo has been extremely unorthodox. Ye recently proclaimed the project will never be for sale and only available for streaming on Tidal (which West is a part owner), but someone connected to the G.O.O.D. Music boss says that could change soon.

The New York Times reports:

…a source close to Mr. West, who was not authorized to speak publicly about the album’s release, said that there is a plan — including talk of a deluxe physical edition — in the works, although the source could not confirm the timeline, citing Mr. West’s creative process.

At the moment, Spotify and Apple Music users do not have access to listen to TLOP through the respective services. However, listeners looking to stream Kanye’s new LP on Spotify receive a message that reads, “The artist or their representatives have decided not to release this album on Spotify just yet. We’re working on it, and hope we can change their minds soon.” It is the same notice listed for other artists not on the platform such as Taylor Swift and Adele.

  • Obi Won

    Is the album good?

    • No, its called ‘The Life Of Pablo” bro.

Just kidding. I heard a few of the tracks and it just wasn’t for me others say they liked it, but I was looking for something along the lines of his first 2 albums.

It depends on what you’re into.

      • RapItUp

Lol bruh that’s like looking for Jay’s new release to sound like In My Lifetime Vol. 1.. I think at this point, people should at BEST be hoping for a sound remotely close to MBDTF.. Other than that, has any rapper actually went back to their roots? (That took such a sharp career turn, sound-wise)

      • I hear you bro, I’m still stuck in the 90’s / early part 2000, that was when I enjoyed hip hop.

I’m not that keen on a lot of the new stuff coming out.

I wrote a detailed post and lost it GRRHHHHHHH. I had to google MBDTF, I wasn’t paying attention to that when it was released. LOL

      • RapItUp

Yea man that was my fave. stretch of hip-hop also.. Couple things sprinkled in since, but not a lot! Fewer as time goes on!

Why, that was an horrible album, JMO, Real Music fans, expect growth, but He get’s too many passes for sub par albums. Auto tune, really man, but when T Pain does it, it’s corny. Double standards. Now he’s trying to sue Pirate bay, LOL, Good luck with that one.

      • RapItUp

Horrible?? He had some solid hip-hop moments on that album.. Nicki’s Monster verse, (not a Nicki fan) ‘So Appalled’, was pretty hard all around.. ‘Devil in a new dress’ was fly, w/ everybody’s favorite MC, Rick Ross (lol) I even liked the prelude to ‘All of the lights’, that was dope. But I played in an orchestra so I appreciate schiz like that. Horrible is kinda harsh, IMO! Sonically speaking too, that CD was on point.. Production was near flawless. The joint w/ Pusha was cool too. Could’ve been way more, I agree.. But horrible bruh?? Lol

      • Obi Won

Lol Cool, I’m hearing everything under the sun in regards to Ye, but I didn’t hear anyone talk about the album being good or bad.

      • Who knows bro? you might end up liking it, for me nothing has beaten his first 2 albums so far. I liked his style back then, he also had that hunger and put his heart into his music.

There are some peeps who’ll buy it just to feed their egos and just because it is a Kanye album. I can bet if this dude sold a blank tape or a tape with him kissing his teeth, some peeps will buy it and say that its the best music they’ve ever heard. LOL

    • Anthony Mason

It won’t knock your socks off.

      • O SKI

        You’ve heard it?

      • Anthony Mason

        Yeah. I did. You?

I wish I hadn’t said anything because it is up to preference and I’m not trying to hurt his sales . I was being honest…

  • WeakSauce

No thanks! Not even interested in the regular edition.

  • Actually this is a REALLY f*cked up move by Kanye. He’s making the sh*t 100% business and basically saying f*ck the fans and giving the people what they want. No doubt Jigga is somewhere behind this but Kanye could’ve released the Deluxe Edition through Tidal and given Apple and the others a watered down version. This has to be one of the worst album roll outs in history. Kanye is losing maaaaad money behind this sh*t.

    • Anthony Mason

He has lost touch with what people like. His album art for Graduation was vibrant, exciting and literally jumped off the shelf and it was a no skip record. Flashing lights was so good…

Fast forward to 2016. He drops a doo doo looking Browns colored album and there is nothing on it that stands out like his previous releases….

      • O SKI

Now no wonder his ghost writer quit on him. Literally said Kanye needs a professional psychiatric evaluation.

      • Anthony Mason

It has notes of bipolar moments with misplaced samples and insecure bravado with many blank voids begging to be filled with egotistical madness….

It is as ineffective as it is uninteresting…

      • Anthony Mason

If he was stripped of privilege and fame he would revert back to who he was. Promise you…. Underneath all the stuff we can’t stand, Kanye is still with us….

        I think he has bipolar.

  • The Legendary Troll

No different from Dres compton only being released on apple. Im sure Views from the 6 will be another apple only release

at the end of the day, this is what happens when you let them white people in them business suits take control of hip hop. They are just dividing everything up and forcing people to pick sides

    • Drake’s 3rd best Ghostwriter

How do you know it was the “white people in them business suits” who decided this ? Tidal seems to be at least partially owned and controlled by successful black artists. How do you know this was done by white people who have a controlling interest in the company and not black people who have a controlling interest in the company ? Do you have anything to back this up or are you just talking to talk ?

      • The Legendary Troll

White folks have a history of doing sh*t like this

      • Drake’s 3rd best Ghostwriter

Alright. I just wanted to make sure this was just speculation

      • The Legendary Troll

        -mad white man

      • Drake’s 3rd best Ghostwriter

This is difficult for black people to believe but not EVERY SINGLE bad or unpopular idea ever created or proposed was made by a white person. Take a minute to reflect on that. lol

      • RazaBladeKing

So you counter his generalization with a generalization of your own. Take a minute to reflect on that.

      • Drake’s 3rd best Ghostwriter

        *Mind Blown*

      • RazaBladeKing

I sure hope not; I’m just a humble black man who by your statement has a hard time deciphering a simple concept. So if you’re beef was someone makin a broad-stroke comment about white people, and your reaction is to make a broad-stroke comment about black people, either you’re both right or you’re both wrong; either way, you’re in no position to b*tch about it. Was that difficult to decipher, or do you require further assistance?

      • Dope

He didn’t make a broad statement about black people. All he did was say ”not all bad idea was done by white men” which you somehow interpret as ”everything bad was done by black men”.

      • RazaBladeKing

You ‘conveniently’ left out the “This is difficult for black people to believe but” part… odd as that’s how the comment in question started. I’m black. It’s not difficult for me to believe. If he said [some], [many], etc, we wouldn’t be havin this conversation. The same could be said for the original poster. Which is why it’s ironic that Danny would b*tch about it, then follow suit a few comments later.

      • Drake’s 3rd best Ghostwriter

Now you’re just being a dick.

      • RazaBladeKing

Probably. I don’t like it when a group I belong to is collectively thrown under the bus. I’m sure you can relate, no?

      • Intelligent words bro. Even though not all black peeps will agree.

Rapper makes life changing amount of income from talking nonsense of a beat, spends it all on bling , strip clubs, cars and flosses on the gram, creates 10 baby momas before going broke. Some peeps will say that Its the white people fault ? LOL

      • The Legendary Troll

seriously, just google the major labels and look at who the people operating it are

      • What’s your take on rappers who make life changing amount of money in the rap game and instead of creating sustainable businesses end up squandering it all on the usual rapper starter packs?

I take it you sat at their recent executive board meeting too fella and it was the white guys that made all these decisions, why didn’t you stand up for us bro? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used to say that Jews were mean with money, growing up made me see things from a different perspective, they are savvy with money.

kanye stupidity is putting him in the poor house, next kim and him get a divorce like everyone does, put my house on it

    • Anthony Mason

I don’t see it lasting. That family is hell bent on making money (pun intended). They will outcast Kanye if he keeps going…

    • O SKI

Kim ain’t trying to mess with no “broke, broke nicca”… Even tho I don’t buy that broke shit… An Addidas fashion line, Addidas sneakers that are constantly sold out, a ridiculous net worth, Addidas just surpassed Nike sales (thanks to Kanye). How is this nicca broke again?

  • Anthony Mason

This album should be on the bestbuy discount rack for $4.99….
