Drake Confirms “Views From The 6” Will Drop In April

(AllHipHop News) Drake is dropping another bombshell. On Instragram, he revealed the project would be coming sometime in April.

The Toronto rapper didn’t say much, a sentiment reflected in the overall marketing of the project.

Drake “spoke” by posting an image of the word “Views” on a Billboard in downtown Toronto. Under the photo, it said “April.”

“he has yet to drop a classic project”
“He has yet to drop a CLASSIC project”

        = Overrated.

tru however drake has some incredible songs tho thats where the balance comes from … and he bodies alot of his collabs … you gotta give him props for that …. and you can name other artist with the same type of career like Jadakiss …

for me personally …. you got started from the bottom, 0 to 100 and The Ride ….. those are super ill joints for me and thats just off top he def got a bunch more … ESPECIALLY lol if you start to include the collabs lol

Those three songs are the best he got? Hardly classics! “0-100” and “Started From the Bottom” didn’t impress me; the beats were fair. “The Ride” was probably his most lyrical performance, but it’s basically another slow jam. It’s not like heads will be bumping these joints in 20 years like, “Yeah, this is some of the best Hip-Hop music of all time.”
Look, Drake is not the wackest rapper alive, but he’s relatively average. His content is pretty vanilla–his topics range from “girl, you hurt me” to “I’m a real n!gga, forreal–I promise.” He bit his style off of Phonte Coleman of Little Brother, except Phonte Coleman is a better lyricist and a better singer than Drake. Don’t believe me, go listen to a Little Brother album and then a Foreign Exchange album. Plus, we know son uses ghostwriters, so he’s unoriginal. On top of that his rap voice is annoying as hell. #FACTS Might I add, no memorable or quotable verses that could go down in hip-hop history a la Quiet Storm etc…

I challenge any Drake fan to list THREE classic Drake songs + THREE of his dopest bars. I’ll try not to laugh.

I live in Canada and since day one I didn’t understand how Drake was/is so popular.. I have to be told its Drake when he’s on the radio at work. He does not have his own sound…… Its a enigma!

      • Q.

Pop stars tend to be generic, moldable and shapeable to industry demands…like department store mannequins.

      • hoeyuno

Drake sucks though!! Its rare for Rappers to last 2 albums little alone 10 years…I don’t get it. I don’t like Jay z other then the first few albums but he is dope and I see why peoples fucc with him…I tried to download a Drake mixtape once and erased it that day.

I’m telling you, the industry forced this guy down the masses’ throats. PAUSE.

How is it a bombshell? Since when is an album release date a bombshell? You know what would be a bombshell? Is he going to finally admit he’s half b*tch? Is he going to give up 75% of his publishing to the ghost writers? Is he finally going to battle Kendrick? AHH, y’all need to quit with the exaggerations. Smh…

This is about to be his best body of work, only because everytime somebody shoots Drake down, he comes hard. With all this stuff going on, bet you it’s about to be good

l’chaim Aubrey….. Pay your other writers and it won’t be nothing but another platinum success you were handed…

Weeknd must be working his a** of writing those hooks on at least 3 of the songs. Make sure to give him credit…
