T.I. Takes Part In Protests Against Donald Trump Winning The Presidential Election

(AllHipHop News) Donald Trump was elected President of the United States, but many Americans are not happy about that outcome.

Thousands of citizens took to the streets in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Washington, Oakland, and other cities across the country to protest against the Republican candidate winning the White House.

Much of the anger stemmed from the fact Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton won more votes than Trump but came out short in the Electoral College count.

Protestors also took issue with Trump’s rhetoric throughout the campaign that was viewed by many as racist, misogynistic, and Islamophobic.

Atlanta rapper T.I. joined one of the protests. He filmed the scene and posted videos on his Instagram page.

Protestors chanted “not my president,” “she got more votes,” and “the whole world hates you.”

#TrumpProtest has been trending on Twitter for hours. Yesterday also saw #NotMyPresident and #ImStillWithHer as top trends on the social media platform as well.

People screaming “she got more votes” are the ones who are clearly uneducated about the election process and the electoral college.

Anyone who’s run for President doesn’t seek the popular vote, they campaign for the electoral votes. What states and regions of the state a candidate campaigns in is determined by the number of electoral votes the state carries and population of the region. Look at the last 10 presidential elections and follow their campaign trail…there won’t be much deviation and they’ll all be states with high electoral votes.

Presidential candidates aim for that 270 number, that’s it…none of them care about winning the popular vote. There’s only been a handful of times where a candidate doesn’t get both but don’t be fooled in to think the goal is for the popular vote.

nope, it’s just the reality…this isn’t the first time this happen but yet no one has ever attempted to change it and no one in politics with aspirations of being the president will ever look to change it. They all know that if you change it, it will mean a candidate will have to work that much harder to ensure the popular vote.

Last time this happened was Bush v Gore. Bush was selected by the supreme Court but Gore win the popular vote

The result of the US Presidential election gave the naive elite a defibrillator shock to their heart of hearts. The liberals sailed through 8yrs. of delusional world in a bubble false fantasy bliss. You shrugged off the voices of the forgotten that resides in the inner cities of our country. You labeled us as lazy ungrateful thugs that should be controlled with a policy of racial iron fist Gestople tactics without fail. You propped up a flawed candidate that backed a crime bill that shytted on and dismantled the black family structure of decades. So what now, you want us to all of a sudden embrace your pain because your girl dropped the ball just before she actually crossed the goal line…was she so caught up in what victory dace she going to perform before securing the game winning touchdown…🇱🇾

Everyone needs to stop panicking. Tighten up and continue to strive towards greatness. You’ll be good.

It’s crazy that some people are more outraged at Trump being elected than Black men being killed by police.

I’m Not referring to T.I. in my comment.

It’s funny how the media berated Trump for saying that he would not accept the results of the election, but soon as he won the presidency all the media wants to do is play clips of people refusing to accept the results of the election.

Being president will be like a joke. Even Trump could do it… Still, there needs to be a consistent work towards real change. Not just protests, though it’s a start. To beat the devil, it’s gonna take well-organized action and a lot of heart. Those who elected Trump will have to answer to their kids and grandchildren.

White Liberals who have been posing as our friends have failed us. Once we see that all these other sources to which we have turned have failed, we stop turning to them and start turning to ourselves.
You’re the one who put the present Democratic administration in Washington, D.C. The Whites were evenly divided. It was the fact that you threw 80% of your votes behind the Democrats that put the Democrats in the White House. When you see this, you can see that the Negro vote is the key factor. And despite the fact that you are in a position to be the determining factor, what do you get out of it?
Democrats have been in Washington, D.C. only because of the Negro vote. They’ve been down there 4 years and all the legislation they wanted to bring up they brought up and got it out of the way, and now they bring up you. You put them first and they put you last, cause you are a chump (huge applause). A political chump.
Anytime you throw your political weight behind a political Party that controls two-thirds of the government and that Party can’t keep the promises it made to you during election time, and you are dumb enough to walk around and identify yourself with that Party, you are not only a chump but you are a traitor to your race.
