A request by rapper Corey “C-Murder” Miller to travel and leave the state while under house arrest was denied yesterday (April 22). The rapper, who is under house arrest until his pending retrial on a second degree murder charge, had sought to go to Jackson, Mississippi. Miller sought to attend a book rally taking place this weekend, that is sponsored by his company TRU Publishing, as well as the Conversations Book Club. Miller is accused of shooting a 16-year-old inside of a now defunct Harvey nightclub. He was tried and convicted in 2003, but the verdict was overturned when it was found that prosecutors withheld evidence and expunged the criminal records of several of their witnesses.
