In a surprise fan celebration event, the US Olympic Men’s Basketball Team assembled in New York to unveil their new Nike-designed uniforms and sneakers on June 30.Allhiphop.com tracked the all day celebration as the new team completed photo shoots throughout the city and interacted with fans at locations such as the Statue of Liberty.Head coach and college legend Mike Krzyzewski was also in the attendance as the new team gathered at Rockefeller Center earlier this afternoon. The group includes established stars LeBron James and Kobe Byrant, and newer faces such as Chris Paul and Deron WilliamsThe new uniforms are called Nike Aerographics, and are touted to have a reduced weight of 31 percent by cutting 24 centimeters off the usual material.The new sneakers, called Nike Hyperdunks, are boasted by Nike to be “18 percent lighter than the average basketball shoe and is the lightest and strongest basketball shoe Nike has ever created.” The line is set to be available July 26th.The full announced 12-man roster for the US team is: Carmelo Anthony, Carlos B#####, Chris Bosh, Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard, LeBron James, Jason Kidd, Chris Paul, Tyshaun Prince, Michael Redd, Dwyane Wade, and Deron Williams.
