Bun B Cosigns Texans RB Arian Foster’s Rap Skills

(AllHipHop News) Texas Hip Hop legend Bun B is a serious fan of the NFL’s Houston Texans and apparently a fan of their starting running back Arian Foster’s rap skills as well. Recently Bun sat down with Nick Scurfield for his “Off The Turf With Scurf” podcast to talk about his music career and his interest in football.

During the interview Bun revealed that Foster is an undercover rapper, and in his opinion the Texans franchise leader in career rushing yards and rushing touchdowns is as formidable in the booth as he is on the field.

During the offseason, Foster reached out to Bun about his passion for emceeing.

“After he got his extension, he was like, ‘Man, I got some things I just want to finally take a deep breath.’ He doesn’t really make music that he feels like he needs to put out a mixtape or make an album or feel like he needs to share or any of that kind of thing. It’s kind of more of a release for him,” said Bun B. “We just get together and just make music, not for commercial release but just for cultural expression.”

Scurfield says he has spoken to Foster in the past, and the University of Tennessee philosophy major may decide to release some of his music to the public at some point in the future. According to Bun, it may be worth the wait.

“I think he’s really good. I think people would be really surprised to hear him do his thing,” added Bun. “He’s really proud of what he can do, and he should be.”
