Singer Kacy Hill went from being Kanye West’s backup dancer to being the newest signee to his G.O.O.D Music label. Yeezy added the 20-year-old model to the roster after peeping her self-directed visual for her single “Experience.”
Hill told Pigeons and Planes that though she had some classical training as a child, she never wanted to be a musician but always enjoyed writing music.
“‘Experience’ was one of the first songs that I wrote, so it was only appropriate to release it first,” the Phoenix native told P&P. “Writing it was such a freeing experience; I can definitely say it was the first time I felt a real connection with what I was doing in my life. The whole process was so organic and I never want to lose that energy.”
Hill is currently working on her debut album.
