Due to bad weather, Janelle Monae had to pull out of the performance. R&B singer Ashanti will be replacing her at the rally.

“As a New York native, I’m proud to stand with 10,000 parents, students, and educators to demand an end to a failing schools crisis that hurts children of color the most,” said Ashanti. “Every child deserves access to an excellent education.”
