Legal woes over who had the rights to The Chronic has kept the album at a limited digital availability. The Aftermath CEO has been involved in a few court battles with Death Row Records over who had rights to sell the album and release Dr. Dre’s music. Dre won the digital rights to The Chronic in 2011 and Death Row was not allowed to provide the album in a digital format, only CDs, cassettes, 8-track and vinyl.
