Talib Kweli Talks Possibility Of A Black Star Reunion With Mos Def (VIDEO)

WILL THE WORLD EVER GET A SEQUEL TO THEIR CLASSIC ALBUM?

(AllHipHop News) Yasiin Bey (fka Mos Def) was launched back into Hip Hop headlines in recent weeks when the rhymer was seen in a video challenging other emcees to a three-on-three battle. He eventually walked back those statements. Bey may not be teaming up with Black Thought and King Los to take on Lupe Fiasco and friends, but what about reconnecting with Talib Kweli for another Black Star LP.

Kweli spoke with VladTV about the possibility the two Brooklyn emcees may drop an official sequel to their classic 1998 collaborative album. According to Kweli, fans should not expect a new project from the duo.

“We do several Black Star shows a year, but I’m not sure if we’ll see a new record anytime soon,” said Kweli.

Talib Kweli recently released his free album F*ck The Money. The LP is available for download on KweliClub.com.
