Russell Simmons’ issues with the RushCard has resulted in a new class action lawsuit, according to Daily Mail Online.
The mogul, Rush Communications, UniRush and Meta Financial Group, Inc. stand accused of breach of contract over the RushCard failures to give customers access to their money.
For a over a week, RushCard customers were unable to get their money on the prepaid debit card accounts. There are five cardholders behind this new suit and they are asking for damages and restitution.
The fiasco began on October 12 and according to the suit, customers “left them unable to pay for basic necessities such as food, rent, electricity and gas.”
