Talib Kweli, Russell Simmons, Wale & Others React To Pres. Obama's Final State of the Union Address

(AllHipHop News) On Tuesday evening (Jan. 12), President Barack Obama, delivered his final State of the Union address. The POTUS delivered candid commentary on the four main topics of maintaining the nation’s safety, establishing Congressional bipartisanship, bolstering the economy, and emerging technology.

The hour-long primetime speech was strategic in its message. While several of Obama’s detractors question his stance on the terrorist groups Al Qaeda and ISIS. He made sure to address those naysayers. “The United States of America is the most powerful nation on Earth. Period. It’s not even close…If you doubt America’s commitment or mine that justice is done, ask Osama Bin Laden,” said the reassured president. 

Rather than boasting about all of his administration’s accomplishments President Obama challenged himself and Congress to continue to making noteworthy political and social strides. Throughout the discussion’s duration Hip-Hop used Twitter and chimed in with its thoughts.
