Machine Gun Kelly Lands Role In Showtime Series “Roadies” and Expands Into Acting

MGK IS DOING IT BIG IN HOLLYWOOD!

(AllHipHop News) Cleveland rapper Machine Gun Kelly will showcase his acting chops in a new upcoming series for Showtime called “Roadies.”

“Roadies” focuses on the lives of the backstage workers who are responsible for handling production logistics for a cross-country tour for an arena level band.

MGK will play a character named “Wes” opposite of Imogen Poots, who plays the role of “Kelly Ann.”

Others notables starring in the new Showtime series include Carla Gugino, Luke Wilson and Rafe Spall.

“Roadies” was created and executive produced by Cameron Crowe, Winnie Holzman and J.J. Abrams and debuts June 26 at 10 PM EST.

MGK’s involvement in “Roadies” is his latest push into Hollywood since securing his first acting role in “Beyond The Lights” in 2014.

In 2016, MGK, born Richard Colson Baker, premiered a flick he co-executive produced titled “The Land” at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival.

“The Land” ended up being picked up and distributed by Macro/IFC and will roll out later this year.

Thanks to MGK’s talent for acting, he has also earned roles in the upcoming films “Nerve” starring Emma Roberts and Dave Franco and another movie called “Viral” this Fall.
