(AllHipHop News) Last week, T.I. inserted himself into the Snoop Dogg/Donald Trump feud by blasting the president on Instagram.
Trump tweeted about “jail time” in response to Snoop’s appearance in BADBADNOTGOOD’s “Lavender” music video where the rap star pointed a toy gun at a clown dressed like the POTUS.
That action led to T.I. writing on IG, “Leave our legends names out ya f-ckin old ass puppy piss smelling ass mouth and continue to focus on dividing minorities, building barriers, alienating immigrants, and f-ckin this country up like u been doin.”
In an interview with Complex, the Hustle Gang leader elaborated on why he felt the need to speak out against Trump in defense of Snoop.
“Our [Hip Hop] legends are a representation of us and how significant our lifestyles is to this country,” explained Tip. “If we allow our legends to be ostracized and belittled and no one comes to their defense that says, basically, our culture ain’t sh-t.”
He continued, “There’s no way that you could point a finger and say something about Trump or anyone else without all of his supporters coming to his aid. So if they’re going to go to his aid, then why shouldn’t we protect ours?”
