Beyoncé brought out Miley Cyrus in Paris for a surprise duet of their Grammy-winning song “II Most Wanted” during her Cowboy Carter Tour stop.

Beyoncé lit up the Stade de France on Thursday (May 16) when she brought out Miley Cyrus for a surprise duet during her Cowboy Carter Tour stop in Paris, delivering a moment that had the packed stadium on its feet.

Rumors had swirled earlier in the day after Cyrus was spotted arriving at the venue, fueling speculation that the “Flowers” singer might join Beyoncé onstage.

The whispers turned into cheers when the 43-year-old icon paused her set to introduce the pop star to the crowd.

“I’m so excited because I wanted to do something very special for you guys,” Beyoncé told the audience. “I could not do it without this young lady’s help, so I need you to scream as loud as you can. I want y’all for this icon.”

As Cyrus walked onstage, Beyoncé added, “I’m your biggest fan. I love you. I’m so grateful to watch you, to sing with you, Miss Miley Cyrus.”

The two artists performed “II Most Wanted,” their duet from Beyoncé’s 2024 album Cowboy Carter.

The track, which blends country storytelling with pop melodies, earned them the Grammy Award for Best Country Duo/Group Performance earlier this year.

Cyrus previously spoke about the collaboration in an interview with W Magazine, revealing the song had been in the works long before it reached Beyoncé’s radar.

“I wrote that song, like, two and a half years ago. My mom would always go, ‘I love that song so much,'” Cyrus said. “So when Beyoncé reached out to me about music, I thought of it right away because it really encompasses our relationship. I told her, ‘We don’t have to get country; we are country. We’ve been country.’ I said, ‘You know, between you being from Texas and me being from Tennessee, so much of us is going to be in this song.’ Getting to write a song, not just sing, for Beyoncé was a dream come true.”

Beyoncé is set to perform two more shows in Paris over the weekend as part of her ongoing Cowboy Carter Tour.
