Fat Joe Explains Drunk Night At NBA Finals & Calls Out Shaq For Not Believing In The Knicks

Fat Joe recounts his wild NBA Finals experience in San Antonio, including the viral moment he distracted Wembanyama.

Fat Joe’s Knicks Finals adventure in San Antonio turned into an unforgettable night when the legendary rapper found himself on national TV doing the animated “Barney dance.”

The rap star-turned-podcast talking head was caught on camera doing his best to distract Victor Wembanyama, and it seemed to work, because the NBA star missed his free throw.

“I’m thinking I’m doing something, but I can’t prove it. This might be one of the first time that they captured one of Fat Joe’s cap stories,” Joe said with a laugh, acknowledging the viral clip that had fans convinced his antics played a role in the botched shot.

The real story, though, happened after the game. Joe admitted he was “pissy drunk” when he made his way through the San Antonio Arena crowd.

“I’m pissy drunk. I’m sitting in the green room and it’s Shaq [O’Neal], Kenny [Smith], Ernie [Johnson], Chuck [Charles Barkley],” Fat Joe explained of the ESPN crew.

What struck Joe most was Shaq’s demeanor. The Lakers legend wasn’t convinced the Knicks would bring home the championship.

“So I just walk up on Shaq. I could tell Shaq is not a believer,” Fat Joe explained. “You Newark, New Jersey. You 10 minutes over the tunnel Shaq. Don’t do that,” Fat Joe said, trying to understand why the four-time NBA champion wasn’t fully backing the Knicks.
