Stockton Crime Scene

Judy World, a 28-year-old Houston rapper, was stabbed to death Saturday. Her mother witnessed the attack and says it was motivated by jealousy.

Judy World lost her life in a stabbing on Houston’s southside Saturday night, and the details of what happened that evening paint a picture of violence driven by jealousy and rage.

The 28-year-old rapper, known for building momentum as a female artist in the Houston music scene, was attacked along Bat Shiva Lane while her mother and 10-year-old daughter were present.

Kayla Rogers has been charged with manslaughter in connection with the fatal stabbing.

Judy World’s mother witnessed the entire attack, and according to FOX 26, she provided an exclusive account of the moments leading up to and following the stabbing.

“The night my daughter was stabbed, she went over there with good intentions to go get something for the guy that she was dating from the mom. [Rogers] came outside with a butcher knife. intentionally. She says, ‘I don’t want this b#### over here…I’m going to kill her…this is what I want to do.’ She killed her on an act of jealousy. You intentionally killed my daughter in front of me and her daughter,” her mother said.

The violence escalated quickly, and Judy World’s mother described the horrifying moments as she tried to protect her daughter.

“I was asking her mom to…take the knife from her, and her mom told me to get away from her. ‘Don’t record us. Don’t do that. We don’t do that here.’ I said, ‘I’m recording her because she [has] a butcher knife.’ She ran up to my car to stab my daughter. My daughter blocked her with the door, and then she went around between me and my daughter and stabbed her in her leg. She hit an artery.”

Judy World’s mother expressed frustration with the charges filed against Rogers, believing they don’t adequately reflect the severity of what occurred.

The community has rallied around Judy World’s family with support from fans and local residents, and a balloon release in her honor is scheduled for Friday at Cresmont Park.
