Singer Ray Lavender Keeps It Straight Classy in “We Love” Video

Looks like someone is actually doing some “real R&B” these days, as the latest song and video, “We Love”, from singer Ray Lavender includes crooning, dramatic rhythm, and beat and a sound reminiscent of something someone would’ve done in the ’90s.

Since his departure from Akon’s record label, Kon Live, Lavender took time off to regroup and organize a new team. These days, he’s independently working on his new album with his Global Artists Music Group imprint. The first single off the album Tequila fared well, but hasn’t picked up enough steam for Lavender to sit down and take a break just yet.

Dude can sing, and “We Love” is proving to be a great way to showcase his talent. We just hope he finds his winning sound – something that will make him stand out, and something that will entice people to say “Hmm. Who is this Ray Lavender guy everyone’s talking about?”

Hip-Hop Rumors: Ludacris Finally Addresses Big Sean Beef

You guys remember that beef between Ludacris and Big Sean that went down late last year? It all came to light when Ludacris released his new mixtape, 1.21 Gigawatts, which contains a diss record to Drake and Big Sean called “Bada Boom”, accusing the rappers of stealing his flow. Big Sean spoke about it in a few interviews, but we’ve never heard Luda speak about it until now.

In a recent interview with Bootleg Kev, Luda revealed that he and Big Sean actually had a sit down talk about their issues and resolved them. That’s what I call manning up! Check out what Luda said below:

“We can keep is positive right now, we gonna stay off the negativity. We just gonna keep it in a positive direction. Let’s do that — [Did we chop it up?] We actually did, man, and he just addressed it, I believe, on BET.”

“So, we had a show in Australia, yeah, we had a show in Australia and we actually got a chance to sit down. So that’s why I said we gonna keep it positive right now. Everything’s positive.”

Good to see that they put their differences behind them and decided to keep it moving. You can catch the full interview below:

Hip-Hop Rumors: Which Southern Rapper Is The Tax Man After Now?

After going after Nas, Young Buck, Ja Rule and Lil’ Kim to name a few – the IRS is after another one of our Hip-Hop heads. Southern rapper Bubba Sparxx is the next on the tax man’s#### list, reportedly owing $30K in back taxes.

According to documents filed in Georgia, Sparxxx, who was once Timbaland’s prodigy, was originally in the hole for about $15K for the bill which stems from 2006, but interest and fees have almost doubled his debt.

The State of Georgia is now garnishing Bubba’s wages through BMI, a music company that dishes out royalties to artists. From March through May of this year, the state has already grabbed $3,622.45 … which represents all the money Bubba was owed by BMI.

Bubba released a new track recently called, “I’m Back”, hopefully it helps him pay off his bill. Check out the video below:

When will these rappers learn? Who do you think is next on the tax man Hip-Hop hit list?

Hip-Hop Rumors: What?! Did Jimmy Henchman Admit To Setting Up Tupac?!

Wow, it looks like one of the biggest mysteries in rap music has finally been solved. Back in 1994, Tupac Shakur was shot at Quad Studios in NYC, an attack that many believe sparked the East Coast/West Coast rap fueled. Tupac blamed the shooting on Diddy, Biggie Smalls, and Jimmy “Henchman” Rosemond.

According to the Village Voice, Rosemond secretly confessed to setting up Tupac during one of nine “Queen For A Day” proffer sessions with the government late last year. These sessions basically allow suspects under investigation to admit to all of their crimes, and the information gathered will not be used to prosecute them.

According to federal prosecutors, Rosemond’s confession came as as he was trying to carve out a cooperation deal that might have led to a reduced sentence.

“Rosemond apparently came clean about his involvement in Tupac’s ambush shortly after his former best friend, Dexter Isaac, stepped forward last summer to publicly confess that he had led the attack on Shakur in 1994. Isaac released a statement on June 16, 2011 to AllHipHop.com, saying it was Rosemond who had paid him to rob and pistol-whip Tupac.”

The statute of limitations on robbery is seven years, so although this confession brings minor closure to a huge chapter in Hip-Hop.

The involved parties will see zero jail time for this.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Who Changed Beyonce’s Mind About Kim Kardashian?

Beyonce was spotted enjoying the final show for Jay-Z and Kanye West’s “Watch The Throne” tour in the LG Arena in Birmingham UK with none other than Kim Kardashian! Rumors have been swirling for months that Beyonce did not want anything to do with Kim K. because she felt like Kim didn’t deserve her success – after all she really doesn’t have any talent besides…well, never mind.

A source told the NY Daily News that, “Beyoncé is careful with who she surrounds herself with, but she never hated Kim.”

Kanye was desperate to get Beyonce to accept Kim K., and according to The Sun, he finally convinced Bey to sit down with Kim K. and air her grievances, in hopes of the two becoming friends. Kanye allegedly set up a private dinner for the two in his hotel suite last week, and the two got along so well that Bey decided to let Kim K. sit with her at the concert.  Check out a few pics of the two at the concert below:

Those two sure look chummy – it looks like Kanye got his wish.

The NY Daily News reports that Kim Kardashian is abiding by the “unwritten rule” that “she is not allowed to blast to the world her business with Bey and Jay,” who are obsessive about their privacy.

“She’s hung with them a few times already, but she isn’t saying peep about them,” says the source.

“She’s not tweeting or taking pictures with (Beyoncé) because she doesn’t want to seem desperate,” the Kardashian confidante explains.

Do people even care if Beyonce and Kim Kardashian are friends? I just don’t want to see Jay-Z and Beyonce end up on “Keeping Up With The Kardashians.”

Fresh said. “I think we, as celebrities, have an obligation to change that mindset. We want to show the world that Hip Hop has a voice, and our vote does count.”

The rally, which will be free and open to the public will take place from 6-8:00pm.

(AllHipHop News) West Coast Hip-Hop legend, Snoop Dogg, is a proud father, as his son was offered a scholarship to UCLA’s football program recently.

While his son Cordell Broadus is still a sophomore at Diamond Bar High School, the young footballer is listed at 6’2″, 185 lbs and is expected to lead his team this fall.

Combs looks to turn things around for UCLA this season as the Bruins have struggled over the last few years.

Last year the Bruins won six games, competing in the Pac-12 championship only to lose to Oregon.  The Bruins did make it to a bowl game, but came up short losing to Illinois in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl
