An arrest warrant has been issued for troubled rapper DMX, who missed a scheduled court appearance in Arizona today (December 5).
DMX was due in court today to face charges related to drug, identity theft and animal cruelty charges but missed the date, because he is currently in rehab at an undisclosed location.
A judge in Maricopa County has ruled that the rapper must post $120,000 cash bond or he will be arrested and held in jail. DMX, born Earl Simmons, faces a litany of charges, stemming from several different incidents.
The rapper is charged with one count of marijuana possession and four counts of drug paraphernalia possession, stemming from a raid of his Cave Creek, Arizona home last May.
He also faces seven misdemeanor animal-cruelty charges, in connection with an August raid of his home, in which deputies seized 12 pit bulls and pit bull mixes after receiving a report that the animals were being abused.
