(AllHipHop News) Rapper DMX has explained the events that led up to his arrest in Phoenix, Arizona for violating the terms of his probation.
DMX was just three months shy of completing an 18-month, court ordered rehabilitation program, when he violated his probation at a concert, by drinking liquor.
“Sick, sick, a birthday coming up, you know,” a worn, but strong DMX told Fox 10 News from the Lower Buckeye Jail. “[My] single just got released, there’s just so many things happening.”
DMX, who’s birthday is December 18th, was arrested and charged with multiple charges, including ongoing use of cocaine, use of Oxycontin without a prescription, failing to submit to drug testing and other charges. “I shouldn’t have done it,” a remorseful DMX said. “I wasn’t done with the program. They let me out to do the show. I should have protected myself better.”
DMX is slated to appear before a judge next week, who will decide if the rapper needs more drug counseling – or more jail time.
“I’ve done everything they have asked me to do,” DMX said. “[I] completed programs, paid fines, community service, I did all that,” DMX said.
“It’s rare that I get fair treatment…It’s love or hate. I’m gonna get through this. Thank you for the support and love, I won’t let you down,” DMX told Fox News 10.
