(AllHipHop News) Russell Simmons vehemently asserts his innocence in a recent allegation that he raped a woman back in 1991.
The rap mogul, known these days for his veganism and penchant for Yoga, denounced a new L.A. Times reported, detailing the exploits of Russell Simmons and Brett Ratner.
A number of new women have come forward against Brett Ratner in the new report by the L.A. Times, which alleged Simmons raped a 17-year-old model in his Manhattan apartment in 1991.
Keri Claussen Khaligh claims Simmons tried to rip off her clothes and force her to have intercourse, and when she refused, he allegedly coerced her into oral sex.
From there, Khaligh claimed she took a shower, when the Def Jam co-founder allegedly briefly penetrated her while her back was turned, allegedly without her consent.
In an exclusive statement to AllHipHop.com, Russell Simmons said that the charges levied against him are patently false.
"Let me be crystal clear and very direct. Abusing women in any way shape or form violates the very core of my being,” Russell Simmons said.
The past week had Simmons distanced himself from Brett Ratner, the movie magnate that has been accused of sexual misconduct by six women.

Last week, another woman claimed that she was touched inappropriately in 2001 by Ratner and Simmons.
In a previous statement, Russell Simmons shot down the allegations but also uplifted women as well.
